Not sure where to put this thread so I'll try it here. I have never been to the XCEL but I am planning on making the trip for the Final Five (now that I am convinced we have turned the season around). I am debating about getting tickets in the lower bowl on the corners or in the club level on the end of the arena. If anyone who has been there could give info, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like this one had some interesting guests as Twins great Kent Hrbek and a former Minnesota Vikings player showed up to watch the win. Pretty funny radio interview with the Vikings guy.

Whatever happened to Zelkin? Haven't seen him since last year. I did like the officials this weekend. They might not be the best but this still is the WCHA so I would rather have them than the clowns we usually get anyday.

Pretty sure we never lost to AA at home. And even if we did, it would still beat watching the Bison beat up on Concordia St. Paul, who is well known as such a powerhouse D2 team.

Maybe making a point to tap your stick on the glass in front of the student section during your ritual and constantly whining and complaining isn't the best way to make friends on other teams? Just a thought.

Great emotion out there tonight. It felt like I was watching hockey the way it was meant to be played. Gotta love Kaip for getting into that fight, it took some of the emotions out for a while and eliminated what could have been a mass brawl later on in the game (which prob would have happened with the Porter hit). Great play by Lammy and the offense clicked when they needed to. Best part of the night was anything to do with Lawson. It seemed like he was getting "sieved" throughout the game, especially when he hit the puck out of the air at the end. The pregame smack talk was pretty sweet but the kid's got some issues...

I felt that it was pretty funny as well and it was definitely aimed at the UAA goalie. I think it came about due to how many times the UAA goalie's mask came off during the game and how he was always talking to the refs after every whistle trying to get a penalty on UND. We had some players from one of the midget tourney teams sitting behind us and they were getting pissed at the UAA goalie for all of his whining actions. Both teams had a lot of hate for each other tonight. Lots of pushing and shoving. It was really funny to see the UAA goalie get taken out the 2nd time behind the net. And after the game when the little skirmish was going on, the UAA goalie skated to center ice and looked like he wanted to join the fight but the ref pointed at him and yelled so he stayed back around the red line. Phil just stared him down the whole time and waited until all of the sioux players had left the ice before doing his "deed". I for one am glad to see the emotion that was put out tonight.

The Roseau goalie has a pretty cool mask for high school hockey.

The thing I wonder about is why don't the Bison want to play us. They preach how great of a university they are and how petty the sioux were when we didn't schedule them (which we were). Well they now have a choice between being just as petty as us or taking the high road and scheduling us. Apparently they are willing to take the first choice. I thought they would like the second choice better as they claim to be so great and outstanding.

Well if you have RR, South, and GPR, that still leaves another spot open. Who should fill it? If DL isn't worthy, than North and WF must not be either because they lost to DL. That 4 seed is really up in the air and whoever gets it will beat the 1 from the west.

Most pregame people are hacks when the try to analyze anything. The get caught up in numbers and interesting stories and not how teams really will match up. They really don't look into the numbers behing the numbers. And I love Game Day and Corso is great, but his record at Indiana was 41-68-2. Most of the time his info is useless.

But that would involve crashing the net, a concept not known on this team.

Well if his actions in the game weren't enough to prove this, you should go read some hockey threads on northdakotapreps.com. He is easily the most cocky person on the board, not an easy thing to do when most of its members are other high school players.

Say we win in court and it is decided that the NCAA can only enforce their postseason bans if they take it to a vote of all of the universities. Say that for some reason they elect not to try it or it doesn't get accepted. Wouldn't that mean that we would be approved since they have no authority to make a hostile and abusive list. If that were to happen, would we be in the favor of Minnesota? I think Wisconsin and Iowa don't play any noncoference games against teams with native american images ( including the approved schools like Florida St.) but Minnesota's policy sounds different since they scheduled CM. If we were not labeled hostile and abusive, would they play us?

This thread is starting to look like the hockey section on the nd high school mb. Sometimes after reading the hockey discussion (or trash) over there you feel like putting your head through a wall.

Sure now Mother Nature decides she wants to play nice..
