2026 memo of understanding states that Notre Dame guaranteed a spot going forward if ranked 12 or above. Also, all P4 champions guaranteed a spot. This thing is headed to 14 or 16 we should know more by 1/26/26

Get rid of conference championship games, install play in games, move Army-Navy to week zero, and wrap the thing up by New Years.

They’ll never go for 10 auto + 6. A G6 split would have a better chance of happening. I don’t think they’ll go for 10 auto + 14 at large but it’s fun to speculate.

Probably need to expand to 24 to accommodate all auto-bids otherwise I agree with all of this. With some many programs declining bowl bids the G5 is becoming less attractive by the minute.
