I'm pretty sure for all NCAA championships there is at least the same number of at-large bids as automatics, so we'd be looking at a 22-team tournament, minimum. Even if a semi-final and championship we're built around the existing four BCS bowls I'm wondering how that'd work.
"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool..than to speak out and remove all doubt". That came to mind when reading the comments section, that's not intended for the original submitter to the mailbag.
If there is ever to be a playoff, this is probably the most realistic scenario. It would actually be a +2 in number of games, with the four bowls plus the National Championship game currently. Boise State would be on the outside looking in with this format this year, so there's always going to be controversy.
I know. You're Cincinnati, TCU, and Boise and you've won your league and beat everyone on the schedule, and you don't get a shot? That's just ludicrous.
If Nebraska loses tonight, that's Cincinnati, TCU, or Boise for the other spot. What a mess. But if last seasons Oklahoma/Texas/Texas Tech roshambo situation doesn't spur any change, nothing will.
3-0 End 1Q. Feels like SIU had much the better of it early, killed themselves with a couple key penalties. W&M has settled down and it's gonna be a close one I think.
After this year's results, I'm kind of hoping that game goes ahead as scheduled. But those that look at it as a no-win situation for UND have a valid point, imo.
I really don't see Taylor locking into an every other year road date in perpetuity. Faison blinks first, and it will be home-and-homes on an ad-hoc basis, as RD17 has suggested.
Another CAA has dropped by the wayside.
Hofstra
Hate to see these programs folding, will cause the CAA's to have to backfill. Would be great to get UNH or Maine.
JMU, UMass, Towson, Rhode Island all possibilities.
