Just understand what you'd be getting, which is the game live as it happens. No replays, no coaches show, nothing else. I'm personally okay with that because of the coaches show availability through Fighting Sioux.com if we want it anyway.

Just got off the phone with a customer service agent, this does not seem to be the case anymore. I gave her the minimum amount of information, the teams and the start time. She did her search and came back with Channel 623, just like with johnsowe. My guide doesn't reflect this either, but I think we're in good shape for this Saturday and for all of the games going forward!

Maybe broadcast information is worthy of it's own forum? For instance what channel such and such a game is on, is there a webcast available for this roadgame or that one, etc. I know it's been a little worse than usual with this weeks Fox College Sports news, but still perhaps an opportunity to collapse discussions?

Yes, you should be good to go. The only question (DirecTV only) is if FCS airs more than one exclusive game in a time slot, and if they do then which airs on 617? Looking at their programming guides I don't see any future conflicts, but there's no way to be sure. DirecTV certainly isn't going to know, so don't bother calling them.

My understanding is 617 is LIVE feed only, FCS exclusive. Not sure what that means if there's conflicts, but it may be that there is never more than one live exclusive production going on in a time slot, with the other two FCS channels leveraging the regional Fox Sports channels.

You need the Sports Pak to see all the Fox and Comcast sports networks, there are several channels, a least a couple of dozen. So in that case you're much better off having gotten the FTA system rather than write DirecTV a bigger check each month.

Not to mention the monthly price is right.

If I were PSB or Cheesemover I'm probably not that thrilled right now.

You're right Vince, it's the way we lost, I haven't been into the press guide to see the last time someone hung 65 on us but it's probably been a while. I'm in for the long haul and look forward to next week's game and being at the Alerus for Potato Bowl.
