I figured out where our friend Jeff Dubay has been
The Whistler replied to Telly33's topic in Men's Hockey
So you're saying he was the Howard Cosell of college hockey? -
I got it wrong then. Thanks for looking it up as I probably should have before I posted. Of course I was hoping that someone else would remember that as well.
-
As I sad before didn't that Steve Cygan from Anchorage do that against someone. Of course I could be wrong, but I swear I heard TH talk about this when it happened. All on a single major penalty.
-
I would think that with Finley and Watkins banged up (two Asst/Captains) a week off is a good thing. Otherwise I'd want to go right at it since much of our problem was getting our skates underneath us. Not that I saw any of the games......
-
Didn't I hear that Steve Cygan scored a natural shorthanded hat trick on the same major penalty when he was playing for Anchorage? I seem to recall Hennessey talking about that when it happened.

I guess I missed the part where having cold medicine was worth being arrested. (And yes I know you can't buy more than two packages at once.) While I support the meth watch stuff, what it's done is more move the manufacture of Meth to our southern neighbor without reducing the supply that much. (According to a cop in town). Of course that's not a bad thing in itself to move the manufacture. But I hope Dubay isn't up on a BS charge, not that I like him much, but BS is BS. -
I wasn't there, didn't see it. But in that situation (tied near the end of the game) the official needs to be sure that there was an actual trip rather than just using the force to make his call. Come to think of it they need to be sure on every call. Just because someone falls down doesn't mean that there was a rule violation.

What and give up on all of Walski's game experience? Seriously the way to go IMO is to rotate the goalies and see what happens. When one of them steps up....
-
Does anyone think we're going to continue to give up 3 shorties a night? Take those away score at least one goal on the power play and get a dirty goal elsewhere and we win. I don't think this is the end of the world. (But I do feel fine).

This would explain said rants though.... -
I'm glad you specified paper. We might have lost some of the guys to suffocation if you hadn't.
-
Guys, we're just starting the midseason slump a bit early.

A routine Hat Trick of all short handed goals.
-
Did the Sioux get time to work on their 6-3 powerplay this week?
-
no, (minus 2)-8 But yes it is ungood.
-
It seems to me that you aren't going to win all that many games when you give up two shorthanded goals. But I'm not really an expert or anything.
-
Anything less than four points is your fault!
-
Is it the NC$$? McClown? Sheppard? Adam? The beer guy at The Ralph? I'm sure it's part of the anti North Dakota conspiracy.

Someone must pay!

If you had to pick a method to screw up your life, this would be one of the best. -
Highlights from last year.

In the pre-game interview with Tim Hennesey, did Davidson say that Walski "works his balls off" every game?
-
I would say that you could wait until they issue a cease and desist, which undoubtedly would be coming. At that point you could choose to ignore it at your own peril. That said I fully respect your decision to respect the inevitable cease and desist letter and not force the university and the players to proceed. It seems very wrong to SAY you support your team while ignoring them. Anyway while I haven't participated due to time concerns in the past you have my respect for running the league for the enjoyment of the fans here as well as my respect for doing what you think you have to do in shutting it down.
-
Hmmm, the article has him listed at 170 pounds. Last year the Sioux had him at 190....
-
I wish that the people making the criticisms would be accurate in their criticisms. Take the Joe Finley thing. Now you can wish a guy that size would be out there knocking people down. Well that's not his game at this level. But you have to respect him leading the team in plus/minus for the last two years let alone having a fairly high plus/minus in his rookie year behind Drew Staffords gaudy numbers. We're darn lucky that he came back. I think with him we've got a shot at going to Washington. But yeah, if a guy's had an off night then it's a legitimate discussion point.
