Alex Kangas said the whole team hates Sioux fans and the team. Kangas wound up hacking a person in the back of the head with his stick. Tony Lucia assaulted a fan with his stick. Since Kangas was talking about it there should be some team suspensions. I think they should ban the entire team from participating in post season play. Oh wait, that wouldn't be much of a penalty for them. I'll come up with something.

Yellowknife's one for one so far....

heh, Monitoring comments over there is such an easy job that even I can do it.

I notice you didn't address my last question. That doesn't mean this year's application was lost again? What is that 5 years running?
-
I always believe you first thing because you're known far and wide to be infallible. So any news on my request to be a moderator.
-
No disrespect intended, but we have read that before.
-
We really don't need any more rumors in my opinion.
-
I don't want my kids to hear that.
-
As far as wins/losses I think that's the most likely scenario. Let's wait to beat Dumbver in the NCAAs.
-
I think if I were a Gopher fan I'd want to be dumping Hill. Now, the problem with the Gophers this year was playing consistently. I don't think you blame the youngest member of your coaching staff on that. Seriously that's got to come from the on-ice leadership.

UND has ended the Gophers season in 2005, 2007 and 2010. UND fans helped end the Gophers season in 2006 when Holy Cross defeated them. So four(ish) out of the last six seasons. Can't wait for next year.

Just asking for a point of clarification. I think we can beat the Dogs. But the Friday night game against Dumbver will be iffy. (We have a chance for sure.) Did you factor in those matchups or just figured 2 out of 3. The most likely scenario would be IMO win the dogs, lose to Denver, and beat the huskies. The second most likely scenario is to win dogs, win pios, and lose to BADgers. (I'd favor our chances against the BADgers but I don't think that we'd be favorites after playing three nights in a row after playing three this weekend.)
-
I would think so. We play against Dumbver (provided we beat UMD) and we'll need the rest. The Minnesota rule was just for them to sell more seats. I think UND has more fans that travel and are in the cities than Wisconsin and St Clown.

People go to the games for different things. Tonights game got more people into it than most any other game. But I don't go there to be doing cheers instead of watching the game.
-
Sad to say but I've thought the Holy Cross game was the best up to this date. This was one like those from the olden days.

Robbie Earl wasn't the problem. He's gone and voila there still is diving. Cepis isn't the problem now. The problem is that the WCHA, despite clear instructions from the NCAA has decided to turn a blind eye to diving. Diving would be very easy to stop. Have a coaches meeting and tell the coaches that players caught diving will be on a watch list given to all officials. The officials will be warned that said players are known to dive and to be certain of any calls they make concerning that player. As it is, the referees should know that Cepis is a diver and shouldn't call marginal things concerning him.
-
No dive, no power play, no power play goal. No scrambling after the goal that led to the second goal. Sorry, but calling the dive is the key thing in the game. If the highly paid official hadn't screwed up the amateur athletic match would have likely ended differently.
-
At least they should be from a different planet then where the WCHA clowns come from.
-
Well the way I understand the WCHA will try to change it up, if they can. It would depend on who's available. The thing is with the WCHA you go from bad to worse.
-
Do you really think Sheppard believed the dive? I think he just wanted to believe it.
-
It was too many men for sure. Who do we think we are? Grafton/Park River? But no referee of any experience should be calling that dive by Cephis. Funny how those bad calls always go in favor of the Gophers.
-
Well I only saw the slash on the TV, but in general yeah. Now being a fan, at the game, is a very tough way to evaluate the officiating.
-
Yes it is. The companion lines are "Ever seen a grown man naked" and "Ever been in a Turkish prison."
-
There was one instance of a Gopher blatantly holding a Sioux player's stick that I couldn't believe wasn't called. On the same shift MacWilliam was slashed before the puck was dropped and was deliberately speared in the back of the leg well after the whistle had blown. I'll agree that the Gophers didn't make it that hard of a game to call.
-
Same lines for the Sioux tonight? And where can the Gophers find 20 new guys to play tonight.
