"I was sick of hearing what he was saying" pretty stupid to sit virtually your last ten minutes of your college career.
-
I hadn't heard that Red was somewhat disrespectful after we knocked them out for the second year of the tournament. I just found a link for the press conference on another thread. I'm going to listen to it now.

It's official: Duncan one of three Hobey Baker finalists

By the way, did anyone see the Hobey Baker life story over the weekend. (As opposed to the Bob Norton Hobey show). It talked about his athletic career, his sportsmanship and his war career. Baker was a war hero who was killed in a plane crash in France shortly after the war. I don't know why I hadn't known that, my bad. -

Well if it's strength of schedule then it would go to Duncan (UND #4 SOS), Brown (Notre Dame #32 SOS) and then Ehn (AFA #51 SOS). I think that comparison goes to Duncan who was far and away the best scorer in the far and away hardest conference. Browns GAA average is terrific, but his save percentage is just barely over the other goalies. Other than that without seeing him play you can't judge a goalie. I only saw parts of the Michigan State game and he wasn't having a good night. -

What has he done for us lately?

Are you saying that Brodeur's tradeable? (chuckle chuckle)

Carrying grudges against hockey refs is all the hobby I need. Don't get me going on Dewey Marcus.

Speaking of making no-goal calls from the neutral zone....... That was him vs Maine on Brad Defaw's no-goal?
-
I don't mind being disagreed with, but... It was a horrible call because the goalie was in the back of the net with a BC guy laying on top of him. There were two obvious shots after the collision. He was emphatic about it being a goal, not "well I think it's in, but I'm going to check anyway". That's why it was a horrible call. Now, It wasn't on any replay's but I think he made the call from the neutral zone. So he didn't have a great view of it but real time on TV I thought the net was off when the puck went in. Turns out that's the way it was. But maybe that part of it was a call that could be missed. That brings up a point that bugs me. I've read the NCAA rule book and they have/had a section on what's expected of the officials. They don't expect the AR to follow a break to the goal. I think that's a huge mistake. There's no way a referee is going to be able to make the call from the neutral zone. Maybe it will get better when they adopt the two referee system.

I don't agree with everything you're saying there but I can agree that there's no point in talking about it. I posted the links because someone was saying that the other incident didn't happen and that's not right. But the matter is best left dropped.

Here's something from a newspaper quoted on USCHO. Unfortunately they don't have a link to the newspaper. I did read a news article two years ago that didn't have a lot more info. I'm not cut and pasting the story or anything, but I am saying that there was a conviction out there.

Here's from a public records database from Nebraska. Does that count. It was in a newspaper article that was linked to on a USCHO Forum thread.

I didn't get an Holy Cross Jersey but I would have been proud to wear an Air Force one. Off we go, to the wild blue yonder.....

I don't think Paukovitch is a very good pro prospect. He was way down in scoring for the Denver team. I wonder if he'll get his chance in the NHL? But barring that if he gets to practice I doubt that Greene would be able to tee off on him. I don't think you can carry grudges against people on your team.

I'm shocked, SHOCKED!

I was watching the game. The biggest blown call was a goal that Derrick was overruled by his dad up in the replay booth. A BC player dove for the puck and crashed into the goalie. The first save was made. The second shot went off of a crossbar and the third went in the net. Derrick Sheppard was emphatic that that was a goal. He was overruled for two obvious reasons. The net was pushed off (just barely but obvious from the press box camera.) and the BC player had pushed the goalie into the back of the net. It was a terrible call thankfully there was a replay. Watching the game pissed me off even though I wasn't that much into the game. I was just thinking about Bruce McCloud's claim that the WCHA was the best officiated. It sure as heck wasn't in evidence this weekend. Sheppard was the only one I saw, twice, and he was his usual worthless self.

SIOUX - EAGLES - BLACKBEARS - SPARTANS, Frozen 4 thoughts, prediction
The Whistler replied to AZSIOUX's topic in Men's Hockey
I don't have a prediction but an observation. It seems that in this case that the cream really rose to the top in the playoff picture this year. What I mean is that all four schools are big-time national championship winning schools. The other teams that qualify for that title IMO are UMTC, Michigan and BU who were eliminated by this group. My conclusion is that these teams really shine when it comes to playoff time. -
If you have to look closely for it, it's not showboating.

I think if Maine makes it to the title game we'll be seeded higher and have to wear the whites.

The sad thing is that this game should have been played in St Louis. The way the NC$$ set it up they were either screwing Minnesota or US. I'm glad that it was them, but to have the best frozen 4 Minnesota should be there. -
