Will tanner tweten end up at Und?
How about guys like Eddie eades will he play college or any other sons of former players out there? I thought there was a couple high enders I read somewhere maybe in Canada
Eades is not good enough to play at UND imo. From what I've heard, Tweten hasn't heard from any teams, let alone UND.

Matt Shaw is the new assistant. Will be officially named in the next week or so.

By the way homer announcers, Dixon Bowen is going to be playing for the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux!!! The two guys from Hermantown going to MN already know what chokin' is about and that's why Lucia goes after them....
Hermantown has no guys going to UM so that is an even dumber quote

Taylor Ward scored his first career goal in the BCHL for Penticton Vees tonight.
Is that Dixon's son?
-
And he's got a really cool last name!
He reminds me of former Sioux great Derek Faul.

I talked to Max Gerlach of the Colorado Thundebirds U16 at the DU series. He was wearing a Sioux shirt and said his wish is to go to UND. Drafted by the Force and has played 1 game for them this season. Was the captian for Team USA at the U-17 tournament this year. You may remember his from this video:

I have a pair of UND green breezers from the 1997 national championship season. Have the old geometric Sioux logo on them.
I also have game worn Bauer Vapor XXX skates from Chay Genoway that he wore in his freshman year. Has his name on the bottom of the boot.
These were both obtained directly from the hockey team.
I would be interested in selling. Let me know if you are interested.

Stecher de-committed from UNO in October. Nice to steal a recruit from Deano. Top D at 2012 World Jr A challenge. Offensive D. When does he come in do you think? I am guessing this fall. Said he didnt like the new coaching changes at UNO (assistants).

We'll see... think it's time for the coaching staff to not focus too much on recruiting players from the US Development team. Don't get me wrong, they're some great players that go there and develop to become top notch recruits, but over the last few years you've seen way too many of these players de-commit from college thinking the grass is greener on the other side in the WHL. In reality, I've been following recruits for years, tons of players choose the WHL and years later are nowhere near the NHL let alone, making an impact in the NHL.
I think the college student-athelte part gets to these kids too. Now, granted they can take super easy classes at college, but one needs to realize these kids at the development team get things served to them on a silver platter, they all each think they're superstars in their own world when they get the invite to attend and play on the US team. I truly think it comes down to a maturity issue and the character these kids choose to represent at their time there and after, whether it's going and staying true to your word with a college or going to the WHL.
Non Development team related, but there's only been a handful of young kids I've seen growing up that you knew would be superstars.
Toews, Oshie, Zach Parise, Patrick Kane, Cam Fowler too - When I watched him when he was younger I knew he'd be on the fast track to the NHL.
You didn't watch Fowler when he was younger. Sorry son.

Didn't Nashville have a guy from a Canadian college make a big push for them in last year's playoffs?
Yes. Joel Ward. Currently playing for Washington Capitals

Anyone know anything about Red River Jr d-man Jon Lizotte, I know he has played in the fall elite league and thought he looked like a pretty good player watching him against Grafton.
He is not D1 caliber, especially UND caliber.

I wonder what the scholarship situation will be with the transfer goalie. Dell will be a scholarship goalie for sure, and maybe Saunders and Gothberg will split a scholarship the first year or something. If Dell is here next year neither will be seeing the ice much, but the year after those two should both see significant playing time.
Tate will not be on the roster next year, unless Dell were to leave.

Ladue has committed to UND.

Do you know which 5 wcha schools offered?
I know Mankato for sure. I beleive Duluth and Bemidji also..Not 100% sure.
Anyone have any insight on what Ladue will do?
-
I saw both Coach Eades and Coach Jackson at the Fargo Force/Lincoln Stars game last night. I'm sure they wanted to check on Gothberg and Luke Johnson, but Im pretty sure they were looking at some other players as well.
Actually they were watching Paul Ladue (Grand Forks Central). He has offers from 5 WCHA schools already. Hope the Sioux can lock him up. Would be a great get and most likely a 4 year player. Very solid player.

Where is Ryan Duncan going to play this year?
-
Also add Luke Voltin (Hill Murray) as a new commit
2 Luke's in one day

Luke Johnson had a goal in a 6-3 USA under 17 team loss. Wonder if he has any offers yet. Does the fact that St. Cloud State is in the old WCHA have any impact if he might play for them with his dad as an assistant? Of course a lot can happen in a couple years, with him and his dad.
He's been offered by UND. Hope they can land him.
