Thanks for the update Iowasioux! I just get worked up when I hear people trying to knock a coach for telling the truth and think they should cuddle the player/family.

Why is it so bad for a coach to tell the truth in the public? Knowing the coaches, I am sure they have talked to the players about this in the locker room before. To juggernauthoop, it is not disrespectful to the player or family for the coach to tell the truth or what they believe. I am glad to see there are still some coaches out there who are willing to tell the truth and not walk on egg shells when talking about their program. Then you follow up with an attempt to knock the assistant coach because they told everyone how the staff feels or how she feels. What are they suppose to do cuddle the players? This isn't high school anymore. Hopefully Ashley will step up her effort. The true competitors shine through the adversity, so we will see what happens.

You can't judge the "Best" Sioux teams by the number of wins and losses because you play so many games these days. Plus you get about 3 wins a ear on cream puffs alone. You will have to go add 3 wins to every team that didn't play a 10-11 game schedule. Also, you will notice there are more records being broken the past 5 years than ever before because the guys have that many more chances to throw a TD, catch a pass, kick a FG and so on. So this senior class has played 55 games. In the 90s and earlier you played a regular season of 8 or 9 games, how can you compare a class in different decades by the number of wins or losses because they could only win 8 or 9 games. Yeah, give them credit for making the playoffs but there was only 4 seeds out of the region back in those days now there is 6. Now when you talk about the best teams the 1993 team sticks out about the rest because they raised the bar in Sioux football history. Then obviosly you have to look at the 2001 and 1998 team. I can't pull the great teams earlier out of my head but I am sure there are some that existed. Even DCSiox would have to agree with this, right buttcakes!!

Chappell has a lot better vision than the other two running backs and also is a step faster, he just doesn't know the whole offense as good as the other two.

All this doesn't surprise me at all and I wouldn't be surprised if UND and NDSU go to the Gateway instead of SDSU/NDSU. Just throwing that out there!!

Honestly, why are we even having this conversation on ss.com? You don't see other schools message boards being run down by their rivals fans because the moderator puts their foot down right away to send a message to everyone. I believe the intent of this message board is to discuss Sioux sports not to have a discussion on whether we should let other fans come in and bash us all the time. Look at almost every post, instead of information passed being passed along about Sioux SPORTS it ends up being a pissing match because of some idiots who the moderator does nothing too comes in and stirs the pot. Sorry for taking a cheap shot at the moderator but this chould have been nipped in the butt a long time ago. Just my thoughts!
