  1. Heh, I retracted from modern technology over the summer. I did a pediatric fieldwork in Fargo-Moorhead, and the people I stayed with had no cable or internet. I've always liked watching Connelly too. He was fast and showed flashes of playmaking skills. I was rather surprised to hear he quit. But I'll quit fanning the flames about Blais being a good guy.
  2. She just happened to mention it to me in the middle of class this morning, so I didn't get a chance to ask too many questions. Something like he is just sick of everything, whatever that means, but it didn't have anything to do with the limited playing time. Maybe he's just burned out. I'm trying to remember....I think she said that Blais told Ryan he could come back and play if he ever changes his mind?? Sorry, it was a late night last night and I was still feeling the effects of closing down the bar.
  3. I haven't been around here in awhile, so I don't know if this has already been said. But I was told today by Ryan Connelly's girlfriend that he quit the team. There goes some some speed.
  4. I got kind of bored reading everything in this thread, so I don't know exactly what the topic at hand is besides student seating. All I'm wondering is if REA does intend to pick a day to sell tickets on a first come first serve basis, which I'm ok with, do they plan on doing it during the week or on the weekend? I usually sit with a larger number of people at the games, and I'm thinking that it is going to be awfully hard to get all of us together during a time that we have classes so that we can all sit together. Especially since I'm expecting people are going to have to wait in line for an awfully long time to get the seats they want. I would suggest selling them on a Saturday. I find it harder to skip classes in my program than I did when I was taking my generals, nevermind that I skipped 6 1/2 hours of classes today with a major hangover.
  5. Hey, you never know, it could happen!
  6. Blasphemy! Of course we were at the park!! We just had to stop at the Cuckoo's nest to warm up first. Let's see, about 1 1/2 hours at the bar, then 4 1/2 hours at the park, finished off with 1 1/2 hours at Paradiso's drinking pitchers of margaritas. I would have drank you under the table. I even scooted down the slip 'n' slide at the park.
  7. Actually I did, thanks. I think at that point I was already building up quite the tolerance. After my power hour the night before, suddenly those $1.50 pitchers just weren't getting the job done. One of my friends threw up that night. Aren't I the one who is supposed to be throwing up on my 21st birthday? I was a trooper though. I still got out to the Cuckoo's Nest for 3 for 1's at 11 the next morning for Springfest.
  8. I'll be the judge of that, thank you! It's just as well though. I don't need any competition while I try to win his affection.
  9. Think of it this way....if you're lucky you'll get placed next to me. I would assume there will be some sort of method of applying for season tickets in groups so that you can sit with your friends. This is great if you go with the same people to every game. This is not so great if you go with random friends. We won't find out until next fall I'm sure how this process will work.
  10. GET DOWN AND GIVE ME 50!!! I will not take insubordinance from my players! Thanks for sticking up for me PCM. Maybe I should have used a few more F-bombs to intimidate the opposition?? Man, I haven't had time to read the message boards in awhile. You guys must have missed me, because I come back and everyone is talking smack about me. Speaking of the Sioux/POI game, brianv recognized me from the team picture at the bar last Friday (my 21st birthday) and came up to say hi and pay me for the ice since he and his friend couldn't make it to the game. Very cool, although I must say it's weird having people recognize me from a message board. But hey, if it means people coming up to me in strange places and handing me $20, you can view my picture on PCM's website.
  11. Wow. I haven't been around to read the boards in awhile, and when I finally come back my status of player-hotness-o-meter is being questioned?! SiouxHockeyLover, 2 things. A.) Nobody cares who you think is hot on the team. It's like someone saying "Hey forecheck, your brother is hot!" So what? That's great, but what does it have to do with what we're talking about? i.e. hockey. B.) The Wookie IS hot, and you my friend are the one on crack if you continue to disagree with me.
  12. All it takes is the gentle touch of a woman. Well, either that or to call you guys a bunch of women.
  13. Bah! I'm still waiting for the day when people quit being shocked by the things I say. Usually I'm the offensive one. Admin, I'm sure that's exactly the reason for the constant bickering, and I also figured it was going to be short term. It's not like we haven't seen Sioux and Gopher fans hash it out before. The only reason I posted that is because I think it's time for the Sioux fans to stop licking their wounds now and just enjoy the rest of the hockey season from the back seat, as short as it is. There is plenty of time in the off season to remind Gopher fans that 7>4 or 7>5, whichever it happens to be at the time.
  14. Comment away. I was just implying that the males on this board are getting rather b*tchy lately. I don't think I'm entirely wrong.
  15. And women get labeled as b*tchy. Someone let me know when we start talking about hockey again....any hockey. I'm too busy to scroll through all of this crap to find something that I want to read. I will be cheering for the only WCHA team in the tournament, because after "my" team I cheer for "my" conference. Simple as that. As hard as it is to cheer for a rival team, especially one that is catching up to the Sioux in titles, I don't let what I read on a message board be a deciding factor on my opinions of other people, because I know better than that. I am not 10 years old. The people who pull out the "See if I ever cheer for ____ again in a national tournament because someone on a message board said they will never root for my team" need to grow up. Controversial opinions are going to be expected on a message board, and in fact welcomed. How boring if we all just sat around agreeing with each other! There would be nothing to discuss. Some people need to learn to stay away from the flaming, and some people need to learn that a difference in opinions is not an end all. If it was, then Goon and I would never be able to have a civil conversation after I called him out on calling Siembida "Sievebida," but we have. Anyway, just my two cents. I'm sick of coming to this site lately hoping to read about hockey since USCHO has lost my interest, only to find this stuff.
  16. I didn't sell out for the beads....I sold out for the beer. There's a difference between that (cheering for a hated rival) and being a jersey chaser. But I concur, I should be castrated and shunned away from society for my betrayal!
  17. I was glad to see when they brought that video back during the Denver playoff series. And yes, I am a female college student. I'm glad everyone remembers the important things in life.
  18. Excuse me, not EVERY girl.
  19. I didn't realize I had a title in the first place. I'll leave the beating part to you and your posse.
  20. E.) Apparently the most popular poster on this board.
  21. I'm booing you, it should sound familiar to you by now.
  22. Well, it will most certainly be a challenge for you. I'm just hoping not to break a nail.
  23. What?? I meant the one you posted of me and WPoS from last Friday.
  24. Greyeagle, where did you find that picture? I couldn't find any on POI. I don't even remember anyone taking that. I was probably too distracted by the hissing tomcats surrounding me. What the hell are you doing worthless?
