This probably would go under a thread for Why Gopher Fans Hate the Sioux. Before the Friday Gopher game against Mankato, I was walking up the stairs when a little boy in a Gopher jersey who must have been about 5 of 6 years old started pointing at my Sioux jersey. I smiled and said hi, and then he got up and tried leaning over the railing to hit me as his dad laughed and pulled him back into his seat. Then I looked up and saw a group of Sioux fans laughing, and I told them to watch out because that kid isn't too fond of Sioux fans apparently. They're learning young.

Musky Killer scored the first two goals of the game and was going for the hat trick. I think Wantagh got the 3rd UND goal, but I can't remember. Mory00 scored the disputed kicked in goal. Figures they tried to wave it off, he was after all #11.

What gave it away Jim? Is it because I'm shorter than everyone else? I'm sorry to say, but I think I might still be mixing up some of you guys. I'll give it a try though. Correct me if I'm wrong. Top Row (L-R): mksioux, Mory00, 747 Guy, stuckinfargo (a Bison fan! ), morley, forecheck Bottom Row (L-R): Chartreuse Musky Killer, Bacardio, Wantagh The only two I'm not completely sure about are Wantagh and Musky Killer because you guys have the same real names.

Thanks for taking pictures, Pat! They turned out good. Now can you honestly look at that sweet, innocent face and imagine F-bombs flying out of there? I didn't think so. The POI coach on the other hand.....

Yep, that was probably me. I was wearing a black Sioux jersey with the new logo and either wearing or holding a silver jacket, and my Gopher friend that I was with wanted to show up at Wild Thymes to have a drink with his friends between games. It took about 2 seconds before I was being harassed mercilessly by WPoS et al, but I ended up talking with a couple Gopher fans who said that I changed their whole opinion of Sioux fans. For better or for worse, I don't know.... I only remember seeing one Sioux fan in that area. If I would have known it was you I would have come over and said hi.

Was I that bad? Hmm, that's not too ladylike. Maybe I should work on that.

Goon, I was at Wild Thymes briefly between games on Friday. Could you possibly have been the one other Sioux fan I saw there? I don't know about you, but I was starting to feel a little light headed being surrounded by all that maroon and gold.

Dagies, jk, PCM, the list goes on and on, it was fun meeting everyone this weekend! I should have mentioned you guys WAY before the Gopher fans! I was glad I found you during the 3rd period Thursday, and that I wasn't the only one who wanted to deck the annoying UMD fan sitting behind us. That guy knew nothing about hockey if he thought a Duluth player made a good play by laying on the puck to eat up time on the clock. And I was still mixing up the names of some players on our Sioux team Sunday, sorry about that. I even tried to get a POI guy to pay me for renting the ice. Hehe, whoops! WPoS, everyone knows green is the ONLY hockey color.

I suck at Beer Darts. You don't need the pictures to prove it. I had fun meeting all the Gopher fans this weekend!

PCM took some pictures from the Sioux bench and is going to post them when he gets a chance. Probably would have been up last night if my car hadn't died every 5 seconds on the interstate. And believe me, cheering for the Gophers on Saturday night was a one time thing. Apparently I'll do anything with a few beers in me. If you were one of the thousands of Gopher fans who booed me on the big screen though, you're going down. I hope I cursed those beads you gave me! As far as the UM/UND tickets go, you won't be able to get them until single season tickets go on sale probably in September or so, and I think the amount that are available depends on how many season tickets are sold. No one will know the actual day until closer to the season. I already planned on getting in line at REA with my cell phone early that morning to make sure I get tickets for some other people, so depending on how many I can buy at a time, I may be able to help you guys out.

Wrong, I looked drunk up there. I think I got on the big screen twice, although the first time they might have just shown my jersey and not my face. The second time during Dance Mania I was too concerned about not spilling my beer. Either way I got booed.

How about me cheering for the Gophers Saturday night? It's not my fault though, blame it on the Gopher fans who got me drunk between games! It's crazy. As much as I hate the Gophers as a rival, I've never met a Gopher fan that I didn't like, and believe me, I took my fair share of crap this weekend from Gopher fans! It was all in fun though. Althought WPoS is still a jerk.

mksioux, yes you are still playing, and it looks like stuckinfargo gets to play the whole game in the nets now. I had no clue we needed numbers for our players. Do we just tape them on the jersey if they don't have one? It doesn't sound like my team even has green practice jerseys. Maybe POI can chip in money and donate green jerseys to the Sioux squad. We aren't too proud to accept charity!

I'm one of the people getting tickets through Al, but not riding on the bus, so I don't know where I'm sitting yet. But hey, if you see a blonde wearing a black Sioux jersey, say hi! Even if it's not me, it'll give some of you guys an excuse to talk to some girls.
