  1. If you're still looking for more people, I'd like to go in on this order as well. I have the same question as 01grad: Where would I find the patches?
  2. I told him he looked like he was in the mafia.
  3. Not quite Diggler. Let's all hope that we schedule Canisius again next year though. It will be the final coming of the Wookie! In fact, we better start the "Bring Back the Wookie" campaign right now if we want to see this accomplished.
  4. The signs sound great YaneA. We'll be down on the glass. I have a little something of my own planned that I thought of while driving back to Grand Forks this morning....
  5. Who is forecheck?! I have a feeling we are going to have a plethera of signs, and somehow I'll end up more embarassed than the Wookie. We just need to make sure some of these signs have pictures of the Wookie past, since as we all know, he has cut off his lucious locks. YaneA, are you making the signs? I'm not coming back to Grand Forks until Friday morning, so I can make a quick couple if I need to when I get back. Just let me know if you need help.
  6. Oh how I sympathize.

I don't know, Diggler is pretty tough competition. But then again, it is pretty weird that another man didn't find him attractive enough to take his picture. Diggler, are you not as sexy as your avator shows??

Oh, believe me. He's already dancing around with the sugar plums in my dreams!

  10. Yes! It will be said and it will be said often! You have only yourself to blame.
  11. + = "Et tu Edward Scissorhands."
  12. They also mentioned that you can contact Cheryl at 777-3103 for more information about the Alaska trip. Hakstol feels this is a strong and important recruiting class, and they'll come in the same year that the Sioux host the West Regionals. He's hoping they'll be able to contribute right away.
  13. Sorry, I was grocery shopping with my roommate. It's easier for me to forget when I'm not needed for a recap.
  14. Again, comparing peas and carrots. Of course Blais was a great coach. We have no reason to believe that Hakstol isn't going to be a great coach when we're only 9 games into a season. I'm glad Lamaroux has a fan out there cheering for him, but we have no idea what goes into the coaches' desicions when choosing the starting goalie besides what Hakstol mentioned on the Coach's Show: performance in practice, performance in games, and gut feeling. Since you don't see them practice, it's going to be hard for you to know for sure who should be playing.
  15. It probably has something to do with them not wanting to get hurt. Hanson was going to break up the fight between McMahon and Vanelli, but then decided to back off when he realized he was the only ref there because Freeman was escorting someone else to the bench and Anderson was busy writing down penalties. The ref doesn't need to accidently receive a punch, and he can't break up a fight on his own or one of the players will get the advantage and sucker punch the other, just like what happened to Ryan Hale last year in Michigan Tech. May as well let the players duke it out for 30 seconds and exhaust themselves.
  16. Sports Illustrated reporters and photographers were at the Sioux-Gophers series.
  17. Hey, I wanted to stand the whole game too, and was pissed when they told us to sit down. I asked the REA official whose view we could possibly be blocking, and he said the people on the ends couldn't see the opposite end of the ice. It sucks, but it makes sense. This situation is just like the one with the students in the lower bowl the last couple years. We just didn't realize it would happen in the upper bowl too because most of us are used to sitting in the lower bowl and had no idea what went on way up there. And it all comes down to respecting other people. "In deference to a couple elderly people?" They were probably the only ones with enough balls to complain about it. If you're blocking someone else's view, suck it up and sit down.
  18. Our group actually made some signs about diving. One sign will say Men's Diving Championship, the rest of the row will be holding up numbers. Look for it in the front row of 309 or 308.
  19. Don't be stupid. Yeah it sucks they tried making us sit down during the 3rd period when it was such an exciting game, but organizing a walkout? Against the Gophers? Good luck. I'd rather sit than give up my seat to watch the Sioux play. Besides, our section (309) tried sitting a few times in the 3rd, but there were just so many things to cheer about that we would hop back up a few seconds later. The security guards never bothered us again, since we were constantly yelling. If you're making noise, they'll leave you alone. One of the older security guards was even clapping to a song between plays and smiling, which of course we encouraged.
  20. With that in mind, I have an extra student ticket for Saturday night in the upper bowl for anyone who wants it. My roommate decided to only go Friday night. PM me if interested.
  21. When Briggs lets in a goal, it could say something about him being slow to move around in net.
