DI IN FARGO

Just curious how you can say that and yet condone or support a sport that whether you like it or not is engrained in said sport? Not trying to be smacky and I know you are talking about a serious issue here with the football player but just how is it any different if it's done on the ice in Hockey? Please help a non hockey fan understand the difference if there is any? I don't see how there can be but I'd like to see or hear the Hockey fans take on this?

With the actions of GF legislators, Sioux Fans and the UND admin pushing the issue in the press and in Bismarck Bison fans have been dragged into many topic's relating to UND and the status of conference membership whether it be the Summit or any other conference. Like Wyo said what happens with NDSU's conference's is of interest to Bison fans. Regarding MNPLS his posts are just more comical then anything else. This also may be the only venue he has to post on before to long if he keeps getting into pissing matches on the only Bison board that still allows him to post. But we recognize his posts for what they are, smack, rumor and just general BS.

How can you try to compare a coach who has only had one year to recruit against a coach who had many years to compare against? I think the poll question you are asking is a few years premature.

One more thing, I've never been to a hockey game but I will agree with the poster who said MHD is more of a Hockey town and still you combine both FM and overall the answer is still a resounding NO. Build the addition to the dome for basketball and watch the fans fill the place. The BSA is not a comfortable place for most to sit and watch. Site lines are not as bad as some have made them out to be about the only issue is the West side upper seating on the ends you have issues but the rest of the seating is not bad at all. But I do agree the BSA has outlived its usefulness for Basketball.

This just goes to show how clueless you really are. The BSA needs to be replaced but I've been to every game there this season and the place gets to be like a damned sauna. The BSA maybe many things but cold is not one of them. Unfreaking believable MNPLS, you have again shown to all just how little you know.

I certaily wouldn't want you for an employee. Nothing personal but if you feel that a person hired to do a job isn't the right person to go to FIRST when you need to discuss something he oversee's then you are completely wrong no matter how much you dislike that person. If after you go to that person and you cannot resolve a problem then fine go to the next in line above them. You see this is called "chain of command" and it's not only a good policy but one that is generally accepted as the standard method of operation in most organizations UND excluded. I guess at UND it's ok to use the Media before any contact is made. You can try to blame Taylor all you want the bottom line is UND's AD dropped the ball on this BIGTIME and he's not only made himself look foolish in this but UND as well. It's ok to hate on Taylor if you want but trying to place the blame at his feet won't fly. Talk to your own AD. By the way I'm still waiting for the "We don't need you" answer. Wasn't that the standard line up North not to long ago?

With all due respect unless you work for either NDSU or UND and are involved with the AD or President directly and have inside knowledge you are purely speculating just like me and everyone else and basing what you think off what is being put out in the media. Taylor hasn't been all over the map on this subject rather he has been pretty stedfast that at this point in time there is no room for a NDSU vs. UND football game. You just don't like the answer he keeps giving. The comment about the media trying to take the spotlight off of Taylor is pretty comical as well. If they think they can get another story or garner more readership/viewers for any story they are going to be all over it like a fly on stink. Please answer the question in the previous post, what happened to we don't need them? It's a fair question.

Maybe an email or a phone call by the UND AD to the Commish or Gene Taylor would be a good place to start. It seems like your AD is helpless and doesn't even know how to use a telephone. It's no surprise that the UND AD doesn't know what the NDSU policy is for scheduling since he can't, won't or doesn't know how to make a telephone call to either Gene Taylor or Tom Douple. Instead its just easier to blame NDSU and it's administration for your own AD's ineptitude. One more thing even though it seems to be normal operating procedure up North to "communicate through the media" that is not nor should it be how things are done and it certainly doesn't help in this situation.

Again Thank you Matt for a reasonable post. I along with so many other Bison fans have been asking this queston for along time. I doubt many here will admit or concede this point though. Please have your AD fill out your schedules and leave NDSU out of it. We certainly don't need you on our schedules and I am one who would like to see you finish your transition on your own merits (after all wasn't DaveK who guaranteed that "the UND transition would be as smooth if not smoother than NDSU's?) It really is pretty sad when a fan base of one school has to plot ways of trying to figure out how to get public opinion turned against another school so they have to play you. This DI Transition is turning into a trainwreck for you guys and it's not NDSU's fault much to the chagrin of some on here who like to blame NDSU if the sun doesn't shine today. Public opinion is not with your administrators or the politicians who proposed this ridiculous legislation. The more this festers the worse UND looks in this debacle. Flame away.

You know I've seen this comment before so many times "Imperial Cass County" yet the primary sponsors of this bill are from El Forko Grande. Seems to me that the people trying to impose their will on this subject come from your own backyard. Also seems to me that this "if I can't get my way I'll force the issue in the news media" comes from a mindset of people who are trying to impose their will over other people who don't agree with them. Who has the high and mighty attitude? I think that question was answered by looking at the sponsors of the ridiculous legislation.

Another BSC school buying out a contract, no surprise there. What is surprising is that after having the benefit of being able to watch NDSU and SDSU go through the transition I'm shocked that whoever setup that contract for UND didn't call for a larger buyout. On the other hand it's possible they did but Idaho balked at anything larger and not having really any weight to throw around being UND is in the transition they agreed to that low buyout. I have to believe that the powers at be for UND knew this was coming.

Funny how you don't seem to be singing the same tune as you used to. I'll use your terms or what you said about NDSU in your "Foot In Mouth" comment about how NDSU didn't belong on the same field as a Big Ten team by saying we were "Whoring ourselves out" in that game for a paycheck. Where is your criticism now for UND "Whoring themselves out" for a paycheck? Oh and just a reminder we won the last game with Minnesota even though you didn't think we belonged on the same field as a Big Ten team.
