No they literally could not because it would open a whole can of worms for lawyers, Otis and the accuser.

If all Bubba said was yes he was aware of the accusations or no he wasn’t aware it would open up zero cans of worms for anyone. And if his answer was no he wasn’t aware, it would end any question of his behavior in this situation.

Because that could put Bubba and the University in a vulnerable position legally. This information is protected by the Data Privacy laws. You have media people and some moron attorney speculating. There are other attorneys that would be more than happy to represent the accused or the alleged victim if Bubba or anyone else makes a comment that gives either party the opportunity to go after big money. All UND officials need to simply relate they have no comment. I believe we have no legal right to the details of this situation beyond what was released.

Officials have already confirmed there were accusations and an investigation. Bubba and the athletic dept could absolutely acknowledge if and when they knew of the accusations without violating any laws or policies. They just choose not to.

lol, this forum is wild sometimes...they are still in the middle of the initial RFP process.

Crazy that some people think that State Government moves that quickly that they were able to complete an RFP of this size and start a new one in that short of time is just wild. The forest of red tape with state government is THICCCC, they aren't getting through it that quickly.

Your buddy Schlossy said they would make a decision in the first 2 weeks of June.  Maybe the bids are an embarrassment of riches and they are having a hard time deciding.

Then why isn't there a new rfp?

Shocking that nobody was willing to jump through the hoops UND was demanding. BEK, if they are in the picture, would not have the means to do everything or the quality they are asking for. MIDCO would be broadcasting SDSU road FB games long before they would show UND road games. WDAY/WDAZ does NDSU road games already and will not do both. That leaves KVLY.

If I'm interpreting that and a few other sites correctly, I don't think his contract is guaranteed unless he makes the roster as he was signed to a reserve/futures contract. I think only $3,500 of it is guaranteed at this point.
That being said, he's sure seems to be doing all the right things to get there.

That is correct. Nothing is guaranteed unless you make the team. However, even catching on with the practice squad is good money. Probably in the $150,000 for a full season on squad. Good link below on number of active players and earning per school. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/college/

there is the reason the bengals are  the bengals (minus last year) and the cowboys have had the best o-line 10 years straight........

matt is only gonna get better and volsen is gonna flame out like all the ther other ndac players that think they don't play fcs football and don't realize they HAVE TO progress....

Since NDSU currently has 15 players on on an NFL contract and UND has 1, this is an idiotic comment. And NDSU had more active players on NFL rosters last season than any FCS school in the country. That being said, I hope all MVFC kids that were drafted or signed UDFA contracts make it.

Another darn near attendance (if not a) record for the Alerus yet again tonight.

Plus UND hockey at the same time.

I hear the Al still hasn’t figured out how to handle large crowds. I saw lots of like for boycotthealerus. Some friends went to the concert, got their in plenty of time and missed the entire opening act and all but 2 songs of the second act. Was told it is not the Alerus’s fault. The Tour decides when doors open. Even if the decide they open an hour before the concert that should be plenty of time to get everyone in.

I guess i look at from different view with most of the losses were lost by touchdown or less and most of these losses could have been a win on one or two key plays going our way so we very close to having very special year.  Also all these losses were against playoff teams and FBS school that had very successful season. The difference is team never got confidence or ability to make key plays to start winning these games against quality opponent. The my main reason for this is skilled position players on the team were young and this only comes with more experience and learning from these losses. yes i heard all other reasons on this board but still comes down to players making plays on the field in crunch time and this year it sure didn't happen.

UND also could have easily lost to two MVFC bottom feeders at home. If you are playing 7 of 8 conference games that close, you are going to lose your share of them. They finished around a 500 team, probably where they should have.

If Troy Andersen is one of the 3 best on the field in Frisco the Cats will win. He is just flat out a FB player.

Can he catch Christian Watson if he is healthy? Because they had no answer for him 2 years ago.

I do not know but Howard had been THE stud of whatever team he played on for many years, he may have wanted to get back to that type of situation again.  Offensively, he had talent but wasn't athletic enough to play defense at the D1 level.  That is why the Montana schools were not interested in him!

Maybe Bubba recruited him to play TE. He looked more like a FB player than BB.

Your best players play in that situation. That’s Otis…… or was Otis . I’d take Otis over Hunter any day football performance wise!

Hunter will be playing on Sundays in a couple of years, Otis will not be.

    i see miller still sucks

Did you really watch the game. Miller was pretty good. Had a couple of 3rd down passes dropped the would have kept drives moving, and he didn’t have his best receiver. Not sure what this comment says about UND QB’s, because Miller’s combo or throwing and being able to run if he has to makes him much better than either F’N Hawk QB.

Wasn't some of the concern that he was having trouble holding (keeping on) weight?

Six-foot-five screams tackle, but 285 says guard.

    Any idea of the plan?

I would say guard. I think 6’5 is pushing it a bit. Don’t think he is quite that tall.

  15. 1 minute ago, AJS said:

    According to Seth's twitter bio, 6'5" 285.

The 257 is from his Freshman (2020) listed weight on the NDSU roster. He was removed from the 2021 NDSU roster, so I'm not sure what his RS-Freshman weight was listed at. The 257 makes sense as it's the last recorded weight. Is he now 285 as he lists. I guess we'll find out during Spring camp. Tom Miller said he could be in the mix right away, so for that to be even close to true, he currently needs to be a lot closer to 285 than 257.

I think 285 is correct. I wouldn’t expect an immediate contribution. Maybe in a year or two.

WR and a couple spots on offense I would agree, but SDSU has holes as does NDSU, they are both still playing.

Listen to the pre game preach by UND’s biggest cheerleader Kelly Howe before the NDSU game. He said UND needed to play flawlessly and get some breaks to beat NDSU because the talent and athleticism were not near equal. And he hates NDSU.
