I've never played competative hockey, but would there be any advantage to Toews and Oshie playing the Center position by committee? Kind of changing up which of them plays center at different times throughout the game? Or is it best that one guy take the position and commit to it? It's obvious that they both excel at playing the position so I was just curious.

They started out seperate last night, if I remember correctly. Then put them back together. Not sure anybody knows the thinking, but an Oshie goal with Assists to Toews and Duncan pretty much shows that they should be together. Or maybe he practiced them apart so that he has the option to split them apart at any point in time he deems necessary. It would be a nice option to have, to know that they'd still be perfectly comfortable playing with other guys.

Would he only consider himself successful if he were to completely change everybody's opinion to think that the nickname IS hostile and/or abusive? I'd be curious to see/hear examples of the so-called "hostile community" that the nickname perpetuates. It could also be said that it's a small group that opposes the name that is speaking for masses. I don't know the answer to that, and I'm sure many here don't, but from other word-of-mouth that I've heard, it's the latter, rather than the former. Does he know of one Sioux Tribe that is completely AGAINST the name?

That's not a good stat to use to defend him. At that rate he'll be in 32 fights this season. That's not something to be proud of at all.

Some of the CC/UM game looks like we're watching the Squirts play.

If this trend keeps up, the games against the Gophers will be rough. The stat that just flashed on FSN was that the Gophers have scored 20 of their 33 goals in the 2nd period.

I know I hear their band there, so why don't they play their fight song when they score?

CC just scored at the 15:00 mark (or so) of the 1st. 2-1 UM.

FG attempt hits the upright and bounces out. But there's a false start on the offense, so they get another shot at it.

First of all, I don't think it would be up to NDSU. Secondly, I don't think those who make decisions at UND and NDSU hate each other as much as fans, students and alumni.

I didn't make it out to Sensor's last Friday night, but I did on Saturday. I headed out to the one in Bloomington only to find out it was completely packed and overrun with Nebraska fans. So I headed back to the one in Eagan (near my house) to watch the game and got a seat the bar. Is the one in Bloomington always that packed or was it just because of the Nebraska football game? I'd like to head out to Bloomington tonight to watch the game where there are more Sioux fans around.
