Does anyone know the score of the Red River Jamestown game? Thanks. Edit: Nevermind, I see the game is tomorrow. -

I know Minot has won one State championship. I ment they should have won another one or two. Yes, they should have won State two years ago in my oppinion. Those same kids had won Bantam A State. -

This is just as far as I know, he never coached me. Samson was not a very good motivator and he was not a very disciplined coach. His teams took tons of penalties. During Chads first year as coach, the amount of penalties dropped by a lot. Yes they should have one State, at least once and maybe twice. I did not know Blaise helped out with the youth program. Simmilarly, the current Minot State coach (Bernie Lynch) coaches Bantam B's. The kids realy like him and he is very good. -

I was also thinking that Kyle Everson could be a Mr. Hockey candidate. I never heard about Al Henry getting hit by a puck. There is netting all the way around the rink so I don't know how a puck with any kind of force could hit someone. Edit: Oops, Al Henry is Devil's Lake's coach, isn't he? By the way, JV tied 2-2. So yeah, baby steps are being taken. Edit: Both goalies did have good games. You are right, Minot had lots of pressure and some chances before getting caught and then having to trip Everson and then give up the goal. -

I think the current coach (in his second season) has some potential. Gary Samson was a horrible coach and should have been sacked long before 2 years ago. If it had not been for him, we almost for sure would have won State a few years ago. Danny Hanson I do not want to see coaching either. He ran our booster program for a while and wasn't very good. I realy can't think of anyone in town that is currently coaching that would be a good guy for the possition (other than Minot State's coach and not counting the current coach). -

Devil's Lake won in overtime on a penalty shot goal. Score 3-2. Minot had lots of pressure in overtime and the defence pinched and got caught. Then Kyle Everson, who got tripped on the folowing breakaway, scored on the penalty shot. -

These are my picks for the West Region. 1. Minot -They will get their act together and their goaltending should be good down the stretch. 2. Jamestown -They are on a mission to show West teams. But I don't think they will beat Minot again and they will have some close losses. 3. Bismarck(HS) -Not to sure about these guys. I would say it depends on how the rival games with Minot go, if they can sweep Minot then I see Minot, Jamestown, and Bismarck all pretty even in the standings. 4. Williston -Again, not to sure hear, but I just don't see them having the depth. But it is to early yet to know to much and the teams have not played consistently. -

Minot plays Devil's Lake tonight for the second time this year. I looking for the big bounce back and it might just happen. Minot has found some scoring but it is still a little inconsistent. I think goaltending for Minot should be better. Plus, Minot is at home. -
Which sign do you guys believe not to be real? I am pretty sure I am right on the one from Denver. Thanks.
-
Darn right. I just checked the exit number in the atlas, 6th Ave/US 6 is exit 209 (I-25) in Denver. Of course the "Welcome to ND" is a fake.
-
I also found out where the sign is from. It is from Denver. My cousin lives off 6th Ave. and that 6th Ave. is also US 6. This is the website the picture is from is http://www.mesalek.com/ Aurora (where the site's webmaster is from) is a suburb of Denver.
-
It is not a true sign. Exit numbers are never listed with out an arrow, what that exit is for, or etc. below it. I found the sign, or possibly another fake, on accident using google image search. Who ever made the spoof just edited in the welcome sign and etc.

Yes I was there. Are you a Jay fan? Just wondering. OK. Score Jamestown 7 Minot 5. Jamestown looked fairly good. They passed quite well and moved the puck up ice very quickly. Most of their goals, if not all, came off of Minot turnovers or poorly executed faceoffs. Minot would win or lose a draw and Jamestown would catch them out of posstion and get an odd man rush. Jamestown also was good at turning the puck up ice. They got a breakaway and scored. This happened because Minot took a shot on goal and Jamestown managed to recover the puck and catch Minot on a line change. Minot needs to work on their defensive coverage so as to not allow so many odd man rushes. It was not exactly a realy hard hitting game but Jamestown did land a monster open ice hit against a minot player. Minot also switched goalies partway through the game. Jamestown scored an empty net goal late in the game. Minot does not have a lot of scoring power but they do get spurts of production; Ted Larson (Minot) did get a hattrick. -

Minot got beat pretty good by East Grand Forks. I don't feel like writing a bigger recap, sorry. It is starting to look like it is going to be a rough season, though. -

Jamestown 7-5 with an open net over Minot Jamestown JV by one goal over Minot JV Tomorrow, away against East Grand (Minot). -
Yeah, I kind of suspected something like that. I wonder what will happen to the NCC name and logo and etc.

Not so fast!http://siouxsports.com/forums/index.php?sh...6885&st=180 Post # 186 But yea, it is sad. I also wonder if a conference has ever folded this fast before.

In case there is some confussion, Devil's Lake would hammer Central right now; I would predict a score of 5 or 6 to 1. Minot should have beat Central; they were leading 1-0 with about ten minutes left in the game. As for how Minot stacks up in the West, well, I don't know. I have not saw Bismarck or any of the other teams play yet. It does look like Minot is lacking scoring power though. -

Minot lost to Central 4-1 Devils Lake is a very good team. Their passes are very crisp. And number 5, Kyle Everson, is very good (A hatrick against Minot). He has good hands (very good). Central is not as good as Devil's Lake and Minot could have beat them. Minot does not have much scoring power right now. Central is not as disapline as Devil's Lake is seemed. Sorry, it is kind of random but I am tired. -
It is pretty nice to have.
-
Thanks bincitysioux. You make good points.
-
Good points bincitysioux. I still do not understand though how NDSU could get 2 games on statewide broadcast TV. But your right. This is perplexing.
-
Good points. But I still don't see a 100% effort from them to get the game on TV. I see NDSU bias. 2 of their games on state wide broadcast TV and 0 Sioux games. Their Montana game on, no UNI game. Now no playoff game.
-
I am not happy either. I fired off an email and got this reply: I don't buy any excuses. This game should be on TV; state wide TV for that matter. Edit: The UNI game should have been on TV, also.
