For the past week or so, the Siouxsports.com home page will not display on my phone, a Samsung Galaxy S6. It is just blank. I can get to the forum page, but not the home page. Anyone else have or had this problem?
Can you clear your browser cache? Odds are it loaded partially once, but now the phone is just serving up that body copy instead of fetching a new one.

I just tried going over to the Northeastern Hockey Forum website, and was able to sign up for a free account, but could not access any message boards, articles, etc. unless I signed up for a $15-$30 annual pass.
Appreciate all you guys do to keep this thing running for the fans!
You've just been running a tab this whole time...

I'm at a bit of a loss, in that's it the same code that magically updates the bracket choices as you fill out (e.g. that only makes the semifinal winners available as choices for the championship game) that populates it with your picks when you hit load or save. I also just tested on every browser/platform I could get my hands on and it worked on all, even IE
What device/browser/OS are you using when it doesn't work?

When I hit save picks they all disappear and I can't load them back.
Hmmm... I see that they were saved correctly.
A few other people have also submitted picks, I assume you guys can see them after you submit them?

Ok, I think I have the bracket working with the new forum login. It's a little different than in the past, it should just recognize you if you're logged in, but you still have to hit save / load buttons.

That's why I asked... I wondered if content count was getting confused with all time reputation?

The count looks accurate on individual profiles...but not on the main page statistics section.
Making sure I understand... on the "main page", you're looking at the "most popular contributors"?

Here's a sneak preview of what I think are the remaining PWR possibilities. I'll do some more quality control, then start digging into the interesting scenarios tomorrow. Looks like a very straightforward year, though--most top teams are in, then a small bubble that dukes it out among themselves, then low team that could auto-qualify.

Did the "All-Time" poster count re-set itself with the last update?
Not that I can tell... I'll look into it and see if anyone has had any problems, and/or if there's a "recount" feature (which there often is for those stats).

I've personally never seen the appeal of calculating what the brackets would be if the season ended today, when teams are guaranteed to change bands and change it completely... BUT plenty of other people say the same thing about looking at the PWR at all.

Though they're not quite yet a mathematical lock, I'll make the call for Denver...

It's concept art. You do it for practice, to develop a portfolio, and to get your work seen.

My prior was against transitional logos that incorporate the feathers, but this one does feel well done to me. Good job.

Cause like that's where the dollars are, man.....
It only takes $3 to buy a bag of Cheetos. Why risk a felony when a misdemeanor will do.

No offense to anyone, but aren't college hockey boards just about the lowest of the low hanging fruit on the internet? Kind of like a gang of heavily armed robbers targeting $1.00 stores?
The crazy thing is that I put in place new tests that pretty much confirm it's actual humans bothering to do the initial registration (though probably not the mass postings). That they still find it worth it, given how ridiculously low the return on that spam must be, proves how cheap labor is.
-
I've had new registrations opened back up for quite a few weeks now, so we're not under constant attack. So, I'm going to leave things open for a while and see how it goes.
-
And some non-UND info, looking at #10 Yale through #23 Minnesota-Duluth, all fighting for spots on the bubble.
-
Well, a pair of losses didn't wrap anything up for UND. Looks like we still need some wins to lock up a bid.
A few top teams are starting to look like locks for NCAA tournament

But I have found out that the key is to (on computer) click the "quote box" in the upper left...You will see a "direction arrow" pop up. Click it. Then Delete.
Before that I kept trying to just "delete it" by continually hitting the "backspace" button to no prevail.

Meanwhile, you can work around it by hitting the "source" button in the upper left to switch away from WYSIWYG mode, delete all the HTML for the quote, then click "source" again to switch back to WYSIWYG mode.

Nah, you're thinking of GPL, we've never restricted new registrations. But don't worry, we're on this one.

If this guy isn't even enough of a troll for the mods to ban then I'm out of here.
Don't forget to use the "report" feature to bring problems to the mods' attention more quickly!

So many years I've had to start a thread about the PWR in January to let people know it's still possible for UND to climb out of its hole and get an at-large bid. How different this year is!
What prompted me to finally start one is that this weekend brings the first real chance of Quinnipiac falling out of #1, and UND controls whether it is #3 UND or #2 SCSU that overtakes QU if the Bobcats stumble.
Here's a more detailed post I wrote:
