  1. How can you possibly compare the two wars?
  2. You are an idiot. Respect our fallen heroes.
  3. I was in, and then it booted me off! What's the deal?
  4. Sheesh, someone's been suckling from thee Jimmy Kleinsasser teet a little too long. Are you saying the helmet and shoulder pads are heavier in the NFL, thereby preventing any sudden displays of athleticism? Are you calling thee Jim Kleinsasser stupid because there's no way he could learn how to hurdle a 200 lb. DB? Half of these guys don't even want to get hit, so they jump at his legs with their eyes closed tight and thoughts of pool parties at MC Hammer's house echo in their head. Stop saying thee, and stop saying thee Jimmy Kleinsasser isn't athletic enough to pull off a sweet move ala Brian Leonard.
  5. There is a fullback from Rutgers who could give Kleinsasser a few pointers about hurldling would-be tacklers instead of catching the ball, running for three yards, and then getting up-ended by a db who dives at his legs.
  6. I found this site that purports to have CSTV for free: http://www.4tv.com/index.php I've yet to get it to work, but some of the other channels do. Maybe someone could help me out?
  7. How about "Run for the Hills" by Iron Maiden? And I agree, Van Hagar is not Van Halen.
  8. So we have "Army of God I" vs. "Army of God II?" Fine. These kids are primed to be alcoholics by the 8th grade anyway.
  9. This thread will implode any moment now... While the topic is very interesting and ought to be discussed, I'm not so sure ... umm... yeah, I'm not sure this is a good idea. Besides, children with ducktails have and will always continue to scare the s*** out of me (there haven't been any kids with ducktails that have failed to threatened me with murder, at any point in my life). I will go cower in the corner with the innocents now.
  10. Link, if I did this right When the Vike's lost huge to the Giants a few years ago in the playoffs, there were claims that the NFC East foe was eavesdropping on their playcalling. Has anyone heard any other stories like these?
  11. Rex Grossman is better than Brad Johnson? Not a chance. The Vikes will win the North this year, and one of the main reasons will be Brad Johnson controlling the ball, making smart passes to possession receivers (or what will be deemed sometime later this season as possession receivers). Childress will stick to the running game, as evidenced by Chester Taylor's 31 carries v. the Redskins and this should open the passing game. If anybody watched the Monday night game, you would've noted Brad's ability to remain calm, work the clock, and find the open man on third downs and when coming from behind--something sorely missed during Daunte's tenure. While we're on the topic of the Vikes, has anyone heard the Vikings organization has suggested that Washington screwed with their Motorola headsets a few times during Monday's game? Somehow, I wouldn't put it past the Redskin's loony owner Snyder. (Conspiracy: Theissman commented that there was a sudden gust of wind that drove Vike's kicker Longwell's field goal try way off: Could there be an air vent in the brand new stadium used in such occassions? It sounds odd, but the Redskins are a $1.5 billion organization perfectly willing to spend big bucks to make big bucks. Also, of the recent Super Bowl victors, what percentage of these teams play in a new stadium, or a newly renovated one?)
  12. Aren't all good nicknames supposed to be hostile? Or at least suggest hostility? If not, then our only option would be the North Dakota Amiable Hosts/Hostesses. How can we serve you better, NCAA?
  13. If you've ever wanted to witness the downfall of a football power, then Colorado is your team. Colorado's program is going downhill, Montana St is always good in 1AA and I wasn't at all surprised. I would be happy if a D-1A school limited itself to one "easy" game/season. I admit, I get a bit riled-up when fall rolls around, not to mention a bit selfish on Saturdays when I want to see big games on tv. If the BCS is good for one thing, it would be taking the strength of schedule into consideration and schools scheduling more difficult games. When the Sioux play the Gophers in football in a couple years, yes it will be exciting, but exciting only for us. When Michigan plays Central Michigan, does anyone care, save for CM fans? Am I alone here? If North Dakota were to play a DIII school would our fans be excited or would they plan a weekend getaway because of the lull in the schedule (automatic win)?
  14. What do you guys feel about D-1A schools playing D-1AA squads? It can be good for the AA school if they come close to a win or actually win, but the D-1A squad is probably sub-sub-par. But normally, the D-1A team will blow out the smaller schools and chalk-up an easy win. I'm actually quite excited to watch the Bison-Gophers game, and I hope the Gophers blow-out the Bison. But if I were a Gophers fan I would be ticked that my school, which puts out a competitive squad in the Big 10 every year (debatable) opts to dilute their schedule. As a fan of D-1A football as a whole, I want to see competitive games, not prescribed blowouts. I guess that's why I want the gophers to run-up the score on the Bison: to get their fans to demand a tougher schedule so the games will be watchable beyond the first quarter. Bison fans are only using this game as a barometer; you won't hear any NDSU fan in the stadium concourse before the game saying, "We're gonna whoop them Gophers!" Instead, you'll hear, "Gee, I hope our Bison hustle and have fun." Boooring.
  15. JT O'Sullivan reminded me way too much of Tommy Kramer, and for that reason alone he should be cut. McMahon looked awful the entire preseason--He hasn't been a winner or even backed-up a winner in college or pros. I think this was his last chance. Tarvaris will be the #2 QB halfway through the season after watching how Johnson runs the offense and controls the ball. Also, keep an eye out for rookie safety Greg Blue to lay some people out on special teams (maybe he'll get some time in dime situations)
  16. Look out for Finley, if not this year the year after--He's a big guy who needs time to develop his skating and footwork. Every other part of his game should become more well-rounded as he gets older, he just needs time.
  17. NDSU's inferiority complex has regained momentum. I love it!
  18. Wondering if I could change my name to AccountingStu. Thank you.
  19. Could you change my name to AccountingStu?
  20. Commodore seems to be good luck for whatever team he's playing for. Should be a great series.
  21. A year ago, there was a goalie from Duluth Marshall that played very well in the MN State Tourney--Does anyone remember who he was and where he's going?
