    I would have to check, but I believe that they wouldn't put it in the paper because it would possibly fall under against their code of ethics. They have one that each editor adds to. I don't have it in front of me, but I can check tomorrow. I only have it due to my position as chair of the Board of Student Publications which oversees the DS as publisher.

    I'm wondering how the newspeople found out about his "resignation"...here's betting that old Nabisco breath is 25 cents poorer. Just another publicity stunt to keep it in the news and make it appear to the public that a majority oppose the current Fighting Sioux name.

    Forum Communications eats stories like this up and attempts to show that he represents a large portion of his people, although we know that he does not. He doesn't even say this. Instead he says that all don't support it. I agree with those who question why 100 percent have to agree with the name for it to remain viable. To me, that is completely ridiculous and another example of the minority attempting to rule the majority through administrative or judicial means rather than popular vote...

    Next time one of us disagrees with the politics of one of our bosses, let's call the D.S., and TV and Radio and see if we can get on to air our personal and unpopular, minority viewpoints...

    WDAZ and the DS normally cover Student Senate meetings, so if it was annouced there they would have found out about it and I am sure that it was discussed on Sunday at the meeting.

    I guess we could stay below the radar for a while. That might be a good thing.

    It seems like no one has checked the standing UND is in first place in the WCHA.

    I know its early but its a possitive.

    noticed, didn't want to jinx it, especially when you look at how close behind Wisconsin and the rest are.

    What I am thinking is that while Walski is possibly just the practice goalie, there is something about him that Hak liked or he wouldn't be on the team at all. I say that Hak is going to put in whoever he bloody wants and while I have ones that I like, he knows what is best.

    i'm going to post it in this thread, because i don't want hundreds of people using it... but for those who don't get a chance to watch some sioux alumni in the majors and want to:

    go to: NHL Center Ice on Internet

    it will show you a list of games that you can watch on the internet for free. the quality isn't spectacular (except for the ones on yahoo), but it's good enough that you can see the puck and easily follow the play. you're going to need at least dsl internet for the games to stream nicely, cable will be perfect.

    there are two programs that you can download to watch. for the yahoo games, you don't need to download anything. there is a link to a forum on that page that will give you the yahoo link about 10 minutes before the game.

    the two programs (sopcast, and tvuplayer) can both be downloaded from download.com, so they're safe. i checked for any spyware after i installed and there was none. it's a pretty sweet idea and i really like it because i get to watch at least one game a night. they tend to vary it up, so you'll get to see a lot of teams from around the league. they tend to play a lot of nj and pittsburgh games too, which i enjoy.

    Will the Sioux get Lammy back for the series against SCSU? How about Toews? I think that will be key to that series. Yes Grieco got the road wins but gave up a lot of soft goals this weekend. I just want Lammy back and Toews so that we can start getting some solid goaltending and then some good scoring so we can start taking charge of the WCHA. Just my opinions.

    as it is only Sunday, i don't think anyone knows yet. I would guess that they will be evauluated tomorrow and then we will find out more. we might not know until game time either.
