  1. oh, that was the whole 2nd and 4th and all that. I said i didn't do math. which is why I have avoided all college math classes that I can.
  2. wait, what quarter is it? I don't do math, so in English please.
  3. good to know, for a second I thought you were going to say that we WON!
  4. I think the kids leave after warm-ups, I could be wrong. I haven't ever seen them during the game. I don't spend a whole lot time watching the bench though.
  5. First of all, his real name is Philippe so if we are going with real names that is what we would call him. Also, T.J. would be Timothy and Chay would be Charles. Part of the nicknames is that the fans feel like they know the guys because we see them every Friday and Saturday during the season. Yes, I know that we don't really know them but until the players complain, I think you shouldn't either. Secondly, You state that we are so quick to blame one person for a loss, but right before that you state that PHILIPPE has never "won" a game for us which if hockey is a team sport then one player does not "win" games for us either. Hockey is a team sport and the team needs to win or lose it together. You are really not making good points either.
  6. they are recruits, i think it is because they are here to be introduced to the guys and the coachs, hence why they are there during warmups. I don't think that Buning would be dealing with them, not really in his job description otherwise it would be with all sports and he would never have time for anything else. The coachs are the recruitors (sp?) so they should be hanging out with them. I always see Hak and the coachs enter the locker room before the game, right before they shut the curtains on us. I have the vantage point of being across from there when I sit lower bowl. I do agree with you about the kids though.
  7. Lansford, ND. It is by Minot in the boonies. And at the moment Grand Forks, for college.
  8. Thanks buddy, it is people like you who restore my faith in college hockey fans, and that includes all teams including ours.
  9. agreed. Got back from the game. We looked ok in the first and that middle period (I am not calling it the you know what) Lammy did good from what I could tell. The second UW was so friggin Porter's fault. why was he in the crease? Robbie is the only defensemen who seems to show up and Chay looks like he wants to be a forward again, which in my opinion put him back there. All together we need to start playing together, the UAA games should have been our wake-up call, but maybe this weekend will be. I am voting that they do Herbies all week in practice, FINALS WEEK OR NOT. That is all I have right now or I am going to be pissed again.
  10. as it is a SIOUX message board, we do talk about potential and former Sioux players. Just because it isn't in the top three doesn't mean we don't talk about it. Given that some of the game threads will have upwards to 20+ pages, I really don't think that is a problem. We don't doubt our team, we just like to talk about others too. And btw, Adam did miss calls last night, I was at the game, I saw them.
  11. agreed with everything you just said. I love our boys, but our defense sucks right now. We need to start playing like a team and we will be fine. I have faith that they will still be playing next April.
  12. Yeah, he is the same height as Walski, I think maybe we should try to get some bigger goalies though.
  13. I wish that I could go see it! I have studied bits of that part in history and would love to learn more. One of the reasons that the movie about Pearl Harbor drives me nuts is that they messed up President Roosevelt's speech in it. In my mind, if you are going to make a movie, at least get the speech right!
  14. Lamoureux's jersey had a first bid of like $400. That is the only one that I looked at. I believe you are probably right with none going for less than $600.
  15. Thanks for the up-dates 31-9. Glad to hear about the arrest. Tell your boys that we are thinking about them.
  16. Thanks for the update, PCM. Hopefully, the boys are getting prepared for this weekend and will be ready to go on Friday. I know that I am ready to go!
  17. You didn't see him play? I have tapes of him playing last playoffs, if you don't believe us, check out his playoff stats. He played in 18 games in playoffs last year. http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?service=page&am...layerId=8470121
  18. That would be awesome if you got pictures for our former players thread. And welcome, it is always nice to hear from other college hockey fans. Any word on how the players are doing? How long are they all out for?
  19. ok, no wonder I was confused. I wish they would have left him up but since I am a bit of a homer, I tend to think that all of our boys should be playing in the NHL!
  20. yeah, sorry must have not read that right earlier or I wouldn't have posted the thing about Drew. My bad.
  21. never mind, I figured it out. he is like 19 for another couple of months. I guess I thought he had been around for longer than that.
  22. Okposo, Stoa, and some other guy that I didn't recognize from Minnesota, and Jack Skille from Wisconsin. Is Skille really still eligible? How old is he?
  23. Drew is on the roster sheet for Rochester tonight, so he must be there. Link: http://stats.theahl.com/stats/game-summary...game_id=1002535
  24. THETRIOUXPER- yes, I am very happy getting back to the topic of the thread, though if you want I will start a thread with Kessel news, so that you can bash him if you would like. As promised here is some more links on the BU attack. From the Daily Free Press, the student newspaper. http://media.www.dailyfreepress.com/media/...gepublisher.com From the Boston Herald. http://news.bostonherald.com/localRegional...rticleid=170515 and that is all i could find. If any of you have accounts with the Boston Globe online, they have an article on it as well. Oh yeah, and I was wrong before, it was outside of some apartments. My bad.
  25. Ok, back to the topic of the thread. I believe it was outside a bar that this happened. I couldn't exactly figure it out from the article. As for Phil's lower body injury, I highly doubt that, unless it is different from the one before the season when his eye happened. If he and Hak say lower leg, then I believe them. He is back and whatever happened is his own business. I will look around and see what I can find about th BU incident further.
