  1. Happy Memorial Day for about another hour! Thank you to all the service men and women and thank you to those who help support them back at home.
  2. Again, being there for a team in the locker room can contribute to a win or loss....being there for them in practice can contribute to a win or loss. Like SiouxFanatic said, so Bina and his injury did not push his teammates to try and win a National Championship for him?...or the next season, just his being there and able to skate, that did not encourage them?....Or when he became cleared for contact the week that we played Denver...that did not inspire his teammates, just a little bit? The only reason that I am arguing with you is that it is not fair to countless Sioux players that brought something to our team even though they did not play that much. Especially when they are not here to defend themselves, it is quite easy to do that to someone who can't not reply to you.
  3. You do realize that Joe suffered a concussion in the 2nd game of the season and missed most of the first half due to PCS right? We didn't really start turning things around until after he returned to full strength? Just saying since that explains somethings.
  4. again though since you maybe didn't catch it the first time....it does not matter the intent.....to say that he was a non-factor because he didn't play that much is wrong.....you can be a factor on the ice or on the bench or in the lockeroom or in the stands. You are entitled to your own opinion and I am entitled to disagree with them and argue with them. So, fine....think what you want to think...I give up.
  5. Ok, I am sorry, but I can not hold this in any longer....HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT WALSKI WAS A NON-FACTOR THE LAST 4 YEARS? Were you at every practice? Are you in Coach Hakstol's head? Aaron Walski is a great guy and I am proud that he came to play for UND.....I would be willing to bet that most if not all of the guys that have played with him in the last four years are proud that he supported them even when he was not getting much playing time. And a non-factor that won a game for us? A game that was a shut-out for him? Sorry, but I would say that Aaron had a little bit of a factor in that game. Yes, the defensemen helped, but you still need a goalie back there in the net. You can be a factor on the team without playing that much or if all....Robbie Bina missed a year, does that make him a non-factor for that game? Aaron Walski had a factor on the last four teams, we were just not lucky enough to see it. End of rant.
  6. SURE, rub it in! Pictures of the game?
  7. Except most of the programs are funded by federal grants....UND wants the grant money...they have to spend it the way that the government says to. And unless you contact the school, I don't think there is a link like that....it may fall under information that cannot be given out to the public.
  8. Not as of yesterday, i also ran Alaska Aces to see if it would pop up. You would think that someone would have it....or maybe that is just Sioux fans?
  9. I saw that, it kinda makes me want to find a video of the scrum to see what went on besides that. Also, what equipment it was.
  10. Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!
  11. Back on the topic of former players, does anyone know how our former Sioux are doing over at the World tourney? Since I lost the website and I am too lazy to look for it right now. You guys are so much faster, you can just give me the website.
  12. I can't find it online, but Dakota Textbook has had some nice keychains in the past. You could try looking there.
  13. Some of the NA programs are funded by federal grants, so you could in a way say that the federal government has a say in them but not really.
  14. Actually I believe that you can libel someone who is dead. from the law.com Law Dictionary. Law Dictionary The website actually has a very detailed definition for those of you who would like to know.
  15. Happy Easter everyone!
  16. that sounds good, i just wanted to add ideas. I love the picture of Eids and that is a good idea for October.
  17. I like it, but I wonder if it wouldn't look a little nicer with pictures of the players in action? like during a game? I don't know if that would be possible but i have always loved those pictures....just an idea
  18. no. Just to make things a little clearer. There are three senates on the campus. Student Senate which is the students. Staff Senate which is the staff of UND. and University Senate which is mostly made up of faculty of UND, with one represenative from Staff Senate and a represenative, who I believe is Student Body President for the students. The fact that a large amount of people abstained tells me that the amount should be looked into....if the majority abstained, that is not a true representation of the group. But what do I know and that won't be done.
  19. These boys are the greatest! I will miss each of them in their own way. Wals - You never got much playing time and I think that you never got a real chance with some people due to your game from high school. You were always nice to everyone and I will miss your quiet support of your teammates. Marty - You worked hard even at the beginning when you weren't getting much playing time. You are a hard worker and a great guy. I will miss your smile during the games and your long flowing locks from this year! Millsy - I love the show MAN! You took the move from forward to defense without complaint because you always wanted to do what was best for the team. This year's class would not have been the same without you in it! Jonesy - Man, am I going to miss those rage black outs! You consistently play with all your heart and that is what makes it so much fun to watch you! I was so happy when you finally got that elusive goal this year! Say hi to Matt and have fun, try to control that temper like you have these past two years. Watty - Watty! What can I say? You like the rest of our seniors play with all your heart and supported your teammates no matter what. You are a great assistant captain and an all-around good guy! Good Luck in the future! Kozie - SNIPER! I will never forget your shot even though we yelled at you to shoot it more often! You are a nice, great guy and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Good Luck with the Thrashers, tell Kaiper hi! Show um how to play hockey North Dakota style! Fins - My jolly green giant! I will miss your height and your smile during games. You are a good hockey player, despite all the haters. Good Luck with the Caps! Show um how to play hockey North Dakota style! Oh, thanks for standing up to take the picture with us last year even though you didn't want to. Duncs - You are a great hockey player! My memories of you are many! From your moves on the ice to your speech at the Hobey Ceremony...I too wish that you could have been there with your teammates to win a NC the next day. You are a great guy and a great captain. Thank you for always staying at Meet the Sioux events until the very last person got to see you. Good-bye Captain Hobey Baker!
  20. no, it is 4-3 in the second.
  21. GOAL PONY!!!!
  22. More games are being scheduled for nighttime because that is where the AD thinks that we should go. Plus...once you get into October...more people would come to a Saturday night game because you can't hunt as well then as you can at 1pm....plus more tailgating time!
  23. nope, at the marriucci! The first time we swept the Gophers there in 27 years!
  24. I would agree with that, but on that scale...Kaip would be a great captain, Porter would have been a great captian, Greene and Smaby....there is probably more, but that is all that I can think of right now. The captain every year is someone that the team votes on that they can look to in tough times and in good times.
