"Gophers Suck" doesn't have a swear word in it? And here, I thought it did! I agree that shouting F- the Gophers multiple times during the game is a little excessive. And that cheer in and of itself is excessive, but there are some people who go and get drunk that you are never going to change..Have you ever tried talking logic with a drunk? It doesn't work. Yes, there are kids in the stands....there are kids in the stands for Juniors games, Major Junior games, AHL games, ECHL games, NHL games, etc, etc, etc. The kids are going to get exposed to swearing, and shockingly enough they are going to get exposed to hitting and fighting at a hockey game too! You can't always protect your kids and I admire the people who try to do everything possible to keep their kids from things that they don't want them to hear. However, just know that it may not work all of the time and they are going to hear things in the world that may offend them. Part of life is learning how to deal with those things.

Actually depending on which teams show up for UND and GVSU, not a guaranted loss. UND actually beat GVSU in 2001 and 2004. But as pointed out earlier, UND is 3-4...NDSU is 1-7.....End of my discussion about it. Really though, NEITHER team can talk right now and until the two teams meet again, we are not going to know which team is better.

His condition was updated from Serious to Satisfactory per the Herald. GF Herald I have never really understood the various conditions, so other than knowing that this is good (I think)...no clue what it means.

Looking at Mattson's stats....I don't think that he is having an off year...Remember that last year, he played on the U.S. Under 18 team and not in the USHL. Here are his stats with hockeydb.com and ushl.com. It looks like in 16 games he had 1 goal and 5 assists and he has only played 4 games this year with no goals but 9 shots. it is a nice test, I just can't spell....used to spell Wonderful with the letters DAD.....yes, I was a daddy's girl and no, that was never counted right by teachers.

I had them most of them I just couldn't spell them. Actually, I kinda cheated....went to uscho.com and typed in every college that I could find.....though I couldn't remember how to spell them long enough to type them. ended up with 30 out of 39 just cause I couldn't figure out how they wanted me to spell UMass-Lowell......tried Mass-Lowell and Massachusetts Lowell and ran out of time trying to figure it out!

it was one bad loss....you do not fire someone over one bad loss.

If that means moving the students off of center field, the students won't buy it..they move the students off of center field for playoffs and the students complain.

First of all, the students are going to care if they are football fans...that is a given. Second, football didn't get a whole lot of a choice when it came to scheduling football games this year...they took what they could get. Third, there is always going to be one or two weekends a year when there is the triple-header of hockey, football, hockey...and some students will make it to all of them. It is sad that students right now seem to think that they have to choose between them (you don't really) and that this weekend, it happened to be the Sioux-Gopher series so unless the football game was against a really exciting opponent and a huge rival...students weren't going to show.

a good portion of the students were in line for hockey already...the line started yesterday at 6am.

to be honest, you could probably hold the team at around 300 or so.... ! Play Hard, Play A Good Game, and JUST WIN boys! I can't be on the board tonight, but I will be watching!

Well, be nice to her....it is hard to keep up with which team you are cheering for on any given night! Just give her a schedule so that she knows already! And sorry, but I kinda happy with the results of that game!

while I see your points, I spent 5 years at UND with the last year being the first where games didn't always start at 1pm. The student section was almost always close to full or full by 20 minutes to gametime. To use the "i wanted to sleep in excuse" is old and hello, the football team wanted to sleep in to, but they were there. The band is there, the cheerleaders and dance team are there. Which I know everyone knocks on the cheerleaders and dance team, but they are there before the football team some games. I agree that the triple-headers can hurt football attendance, but the die-hards will always be there. The fact that people are going to wait in line for the hockey games worries me and makes me wonder why on earth they scheduled the Gopher Series for during football season! That just seems like bad planning on the athletic departments half. But what do I know? There had to be a reason, right?

I am pretty sure that Kangas was only pulled twice last year...once each game. Cheverie was the one pulled twice in one game.
