Though the Ralph better be careful with these increases....$45 on Ticketmaster turns into $50 plus per ticket after the extra fees. $40 for the Wisco/Denver games turn to $47 after the fees. Hopefully I'm wrong but the Ralph will have a tough time selling those upper corner tickets at those prices and these games will not continue to sell out if they keep jacking up these prices. At those prices I know I'll be staying home to watch a few more games than I have the past few years.
Incorrect. Rather than watching the Devils play in SD, I have watched the Blackhawks play in HD. And for the record, I am just as much of a Devils fan as I am a Hawks fan.
Maybe I've been spoiled by the HD....but I wouldn't be without it now.
I can tell you that there are many NHL games I did not watch this year because they were only available in SD. I spent my time watching the games shown in HD.
Ya problem is that Dish doesn't carry any of the MSG's in HD. So if you are a big fan of the Devils, Rangers, or Sabres, you are probably better off with Directv. Hopefully Dish gets the MSG's in HD by next year.
Depends on your tv....the difference between a SD broadcast on a SD TV and a HD broadcast on a HD TV are like night and day if you were to ask me. Only thing that tops the HD is being at the game live. The only SD games I've watched all year have been the Sioux games.
NHL Center Ice with Dish or Direct shows most of the games in HD all year. I have Dish and the only ones I don't get in HD are the Canadian broadcasts(unless its NHL Network) and the MSG channels.
For those watching hockey in SD, you are missing out!
Did anyone else catch Don Cherry's take on Brian Lee Saturday night? Lee was hacking away at a Leaf player's ankles but skated away and backed down from a potential fight. Cherry basically said kids watching should learn from this and not play like Brian Lee and his cowardly play. Some of the comments seemed anti-college hockey but still some funny stuff right there.
I have a friend with 3 upper bowl seats available for each game this weekend. Tickets are all individual seats - not together and located in sections 302, 309, and 315. She's asking $15 each but will not turn down any reasonable offer. Email michichanbringtheyak@hotmail.com .
Make an offer!
Should be below freezing Wednesday overnight. Weather shouldn't be an issue unless its raining on Thursday. Wasn't a game played a few years back in Vegas in temps in the 70's?
I asked at Italian Moon and they weren't sure if they were or not because of construction going on in there. If anyone knows of any bars showing the game tonight, please post. Thanks.
I had the opportunity to see Cornell play Dartmouth tonight and if the Sioux play the way I understand they played this weekend, Cornell will win both games next weekend. Hopefully Cornell will be distracted by visiting the Ralph
Maybe there's a slight chance? Big Ten Network brought in HD Cameras to the Kohl for the gophers/badgers game the other weekend. Maybe NHL Network will do the same.....hoping
