Well, Well, Well... What have we here? On this thread, Bison Boy says that all the Mighty Bison have to do is win the Summit Tournament and they're back in March Madness. (Which is true) But on another thread he goes on and on for days that last year's Bison BB team was the best North Dakota sports team ever because they won the Summit Tournament and made a cameo appearance in March Madness. (which isn't true) So which is it? It sounds to me like you are admitting that the Summit is a weak conference and it isn't really all that difficult to win it and get the auto-bid to the NCAA tourney. If so, we finally agree on something...

That's good. Maybe if Dan Cole is extremely lucky, he could book Bison Boy on the show to talk about the Promo on the Bison BB team helping out with the flood last year. Can you imagine.....the ratings would absolutely go through the roof!!! And the added exposure for Bison BB would cement their place as the greatest sports team in ND history! And don't even get me started on how the added exposure would benefit The Summit League..... I'm sure Texas and Oklahoma would be knocking on Douple's door, begging to get in! Shouldn't you be busy trying to dig up proof for some of those other ridiculous claims you have been making? It must be tough looking for proof for things that don't exist.... Starting with the quote above..... --- PROVE that the 2008-09 NDSU bball team gained the most national attention of any college sports team from the state of ND EVER, due to March Madness and the Fargo Flood promo. --- PROVE that UND hockey has never matched that and never will, due to the "small national (cult) following of college hockey. And from earlier posts..... ---PROVE that every single Division 1 basketball recruit in the country is promised by coaches that they will play in an Auto-Bid Conference, with a chance to play in March Madness.. You were yapping about that one for a while.... there are plenty more, but let's just start with these.... And are you sure you really want the Sioux to be admitted to the almighty Summit League? Because by looking at the competition in the Summit, it probably won't be too long before the Sioux are contending for that Auto bid to the big dance as well. Then your beloved Bison won't even have that over UND. The Summit is a weak conference, and one of the easiest ways to get into the tournament. If just getting in to play a Thursday regional game gets your rocks off, well spank away! And as far as football....Oh that's right....The Summit doesn't have football either Before you bless us all with another verbal banquet, please try to find the proof for some of your drivel listed above first! That should keep this board a "Mpls Bison Free Zone" for quite some time...Actually forever, since there is no proof to be found. Great thread! I was really getting tired of the fair weather, know-it-all "fans", constantly pi$$ing and moaning. At least this thread should be void of all the negativity. It does suck to keep losing to Denver....BUT.... Look what happened in the 2003-2004 season. 11/21/03 - Sioux win 8 - 2 in Denver 11/22/03 - Sioux win 6 - 2 in Denver 1/30/04 - Sioux win 6 - 1 in Grand Forks 1/31/04 - Sioux Tie Denver 1 -1 in Grand Forks 3/27/04 - Denver wins 1 - 0 in the West Regional in Colorado Springs, despite being outshot 33 - 17. Ryan Hale missed on an early breakaway that could have set the tone to keep our dominance over the Pioneers going. The pendulum started swinging the other way for a while after that game. They then beat us in the Final the next year for back to back titles. That Sioux team was one of the best ever and probably "should have" won it all, but didn't. Denver got hot at the right time, and had hot goaltending that carried them. So who's to say that The Sioux can't use the same formula? Sure, Denver has owned us this year (so far), but haven't really dominated us like we did to them in '03. I for one, hope that we meet them again in the playoffs...We owe them. We know it, and they know it. It's time for the pendulum to start swinging in The Sioux's favor again. We have not been getting any breaks, calls, or bounces so far this season. BUT....We have a week off to get rid of all the bad JuJu, rest up, and heal some injuries. Then it's time to make the playoff push. This team just needs a couple of garbage goals and some timely saves to start things turning around. Then look out, as they could be very scary to play down the stretch. And by then, there will not be room on the bandwagon for all the naysayers that have been dragging these forums down for most of the season.... GO SIOUX!!!!

Seawolves hang on for the 2 to 1 win! That definitely helps us out, and keeps everything bunched up in front of us. Now, Just take care of Denver next week and things could start to fall into place for The Sioux.

This cheapshot looked an awful lot like the one that Carolina's Juomu Ruutu put on Colorado's Darcy Tucker last month. Adam Foote went right after him.....Ruutu ended up getting a 3 game suspension I believe. But don't expect McLeod or Papa Shep to have enough balls to do that....

Indeed I am.... Although I hate anything Rodentia related, it was prevalent to the current discussion. And since he was wearing an Avs jersey, and on the Avs payroll at the time, and playing for the Avs during the game, and scored for the Avs..... I don't think the NHL will take back the points because he was later traded, and make them replay the remainder of the games.. The point was....Redwing was making the point that the Avs suck right now....and they do. BUT....they won the season series against the Wings...... That's it...nothing more, nothing less. At this point OPRAH is a bit confused and a bit agitated, but she still follows the instructions. As OPRAH is on all fours, staring up at the Doctor, he is busy looking around and writing down some notes. After a couple of minutes, he thanks OPRAH and tells her she can put her clothes back on. Does anyone know the last time that Boston College had to actually get on an airplane to play in a regional tournament? I may be wrong, but it seems that they end up close to their backyard every year, regardless of their seed in the tournament. GO SIOUX!!

I have been reading some other boards, and everyone seems to be buying the load of crap that Masucko, Woog, and Dubay are selling that everything that happened was all The Sioux's fault.... Wah Wah.... look at the tape and make up your own mind. But if you do, you will have to agree that there is no way in Hell to call that a fight.... Any suspensions will only help Denver over the next two weeks....Hhmm...And as far as the Finley/Wheeler scrum.... only they could tell you what really started it... But the biggest loser out of this night is probably Wayne Gretzky and the Phoenix Coyotes. They draft Wheeler with their first pick when they probably could have got him in the second round or lower.....and they watch him piss down his leg for a couple of years under achieving. Then they see tonight...when a man of his size acts like a raisin hunter instead of a first round NHL pick... Now they know for sure he is a flounder. And to top it off... Wheeler takes a stupid penalty in overtime that negates a great chance for the rodents to steal a win....tool. Glad he plays for them. And what alot of the rodentia fans are forgetting is....they had seven straight minutes in the first period to set the tone and put a few goals in after UND lost Duncs for the game...They have no one to blame but themselves for their futility...idiots! If you really want to hear some noise, watch and listen to Porter's overtime goal against the lowly rodents in last year's West Regional at the Pepsi Center in Denver.... (sorry, I'm technically challenged and don't have the link) .... and then imagine how loud it will be in the Mile High City WHEN The Fighting Sioux take home National Title #8 in the same arena....
