Yes, way to go SIOUX!!!!!!!! They proved me wrong. Now Radke tied up with a Mav. Finley and Cummings going. Kozek and McElvie....things on the edge of losing control, then apparently it dies down and the teams retire. If it's a game tomorrow like tonite, this could get ugly. I remember the Coaches show when Hak said he's heard from the players that the Mav's could bring a dirty game. Maybe we know what they were referring to. Regardless, the Mavs apparently played hard-nosed hockey to the end. Looks like our boys put something together from last weekend. I hope they can remember this recipe for tomorrow. Would be nice if Sconnie could bounce back. They only gave up 1 goal tonite, so that might give their goalie and their team some confidence. Love to hear about the spread of goals through the Sioux offense.

As frustrated as we get with Woog ripping UND for giving out "phantom" assists, it's worth noting that he commented negatively about Kessel getting a second assist on the gophers first goal. They said he was nowhere in sight. Even Frank said he was going to look up and see how many second assists Kessel was getting this year. Sounded like they might give those numbers either tonite or tomorrow. Either way, at least Woog is going after the home cooking as well.

Prpich can be frustrating at times with ill-timed penalties, but I'll still take him on my team. He brings a flair and an attitude you don't see very often. A guy, like Panzer, who always seems to be smiling, and appears to look forward to a challenge.

If he's a little guy, it could be Evan Trupp who committed a few weeks ago and currently plays for Penticton. Would guess he'd already have visited, though. Kermit, NICE research.

Friday night woes continue. Sioux bring emotion and effort but little cohesiveness and take too many aggressive penalties. Tormey ISN'T hurt by his own player during the morning skate-around, and the Sioux bruise his upper body with shots. Mavs 2 Sioux 1 Saturday night play continues. Sioux have worked the edge off of their emotions. They know they had the effort last night but just played a little to wild. If not for this realization, all confidence would be lost. Sioux go out and play high energy, coordinated hockey. Mav's work hard but can't keep up. Game isn't really in doubt after the 1st period. The 2nd and 4th lines carry the game. The Fabian/Prpich line mostly shuts down Backes/Morin. This game provides a springboard into a successful sweep of SCSU. Sioux 4 Mavs 2
