Those lines make sense to me if Forney is up to the task.

Slide-ruler bunnies are to engineers like puck bunnies are to hockey players. No one was crumbing on women engineers!

I couldn't even get a look from THEM.

I went to UND to fine tune my engineering skills and get noticed by a "professional organization" too. It just so happens that without completing my degree I was useless to them (they didn't find out till later that WITH the degree I was useless to them too, but by then I was laughing ALL the way to the....oh, wait....never made it to the bank... Point is, if I was worth big bucks to them after my sophomore year there was nothing at UND that would have kept me there.

No, I didn't think you were jumping on me. But it seemed maybe you had misunderstood my message so wanted to clarify it asap.

WHOA. I'm not saying I know anything. The question I was responding to is why haven't we heard anything about who this new goalie is. I tried to come up with a scenario that might explain why it could be a while until we hear. I, for one, am not trying to indicate whether Parise is staying or going, nor did I mean to imply as such. I tried to couch my answer in a way that leaves open all the possibilities (Parise staying and no new goalie, Parise going and a no new goalie, Parise going and a new goalie coming in). Any impression that Parise is doing one thing or another given by my message was not intended.
-
If there's a new goalie, I suspect we won't hear about him until after we hear news that Parise has actually left. In the NFL there's a slew of free agent signings right after the draft. Does it happen that way in the NHL too? If so, maybe we won't know for sure if Parise is leaving until after the draft at some point. And only then find out about a new goalie. If there is a new goalie, it seems like it would be a bit awkward to hear a name before it is publicized that Parise is gone.

You women keep talking. Don't mind me. It's like I'm not even here.....

Hey, don't let a simple thing like a jersey stop you!

In order to end some of the senseless speculation, let me take my name out of the ring.

What I'm hoping is that someone read this thread, and told someone who told someone who told someone who told you.

I should have known!

Am I to assume you had something to do with this?

I've got to assume I'm not the first person to post this link here, especially with the "Got Oshie?" t-shirt in the middle of all the rest. But since I haven't noticed the link elsewhere.... Anti-NCAA T-Shirts

I'd love to claim that my post 862 was just a clever ruse used to ferret out the final clue from #1Hakfan but you have to go back and read my most more closely. My post 862 is actually about 861's speculation being MORE ACCURATE than my suggested candidate who I had initially mentioned in post 857. Therefore, #1Hakfan's "colder" comment refers to both 861 and 862. Unless, of course, #1Hakfan misunderstood that as you did........

I was thinking it was Chippewah or Ojibway. Either way, works for me.

For those MN fans who liked to take shots at Blais for a "revolving door" and compare that to how Lucia more "ethically" handled players I wonder why we haven't heard much from them in the last few years.... Whether Lucia pushed Frazee off the Hennepin Ave bridge or Frazee jumped on his own, it's an understandable situation based on what we've heard about the situation. Facts, however, never stopped the Blais bashers.

I saw the thread title and thought it this board was finally recognizing me.

Aren't we getting paid to do that?

Sioux Hab-it's second to last post Sioux Hab-it's last post Methinks someone's found out the goalie recruit......

I don't. I think we'll be ok with Phil in nets this next year. Phil played some pretty good hockey, but Parise had an outstanding year and outshined Phil down the stretch. We'd love to have the Parise in nets that finished (most) of the year last year, but at the beginning of the year things were pretty close between them, and it seemed both got better. Jordan just grabbed the job and would not let go of it. Still, if Jordan goes, we need another top flight goalie for a few reasons. 1. In case you are right. 2. In case Phil gets hurt. 3. So we can all sleep a little easier.

I would like to thank everyone who keeps their eyes open for these stories from around the country that pertain to this situation. I will name PCM, but there are others who have contributed as well. If this goes to court, I think the lawyers fighting for UND should read through the threads on this website. Not for all the insightful opinions we throw up, but for the large collection of and value of the literature, and the highlighting of specific and important points within the literature that point out what a ridiculous position the NCAA has taken. It's not the whole case, but it would seem to be valuable supporting information.

At the time of pending legislation, it might not be a bad thing to have the NCAA adding schools to the nasty list.

I second that, Jim. Thank you.

Sioux Hockey Blog on Genoway Looks like this answers some questions i.e. when is Genoway coming (seems like 2006) and is he going to play D or O (looks like primarily D but depending on need). Another nice comment about Berry. Seems like people can't say enough great things about the guy.
