Too bad Oshie played great tonight but had nothing to show for it.. He was the best player on the ice tonight.

I thought that guy was going to punch goldy in the face... I dont think I have ever seen someone flip out so hard, but goldy was just being ridiculously retarted... and the three michigan fans in front of us drove 15 hours to act like absolute retards.. I mean giving a goalie sieve chant when you are losing 4 to 1 is ridiculous

I met Kirby at an autograph signing in Minot about 7 years ago. One of the nicest guys I have ever met, class act.

Could be a very entertaining series but the way the Sioux have come together the past couple of weeks, it is hard to see Mankato pulling this one out. The emotion that I saw after the buzzer sounded on Saturday was impressive, this team is hungry.

Knowing some of the players I think they do not think to highly of their coach and I think that is evident after the teams lack luster approach down the stretch.

This arguement is like splitting hairs... both players are phenomonal talents but play totally different styles. Oshie is a hard nosed type Sioux player and Kessel is a more Finesse type Gopher player and that is why there is so many varying types of opinions to this question. I think it all depends on the type of player you like to watch. While I love pretty goals, Oshie gives you the best of both worlds. Phenomonal hands, killer shot, great two way game, timely backchecks, and best of all... pays for the admission.

The Stafford Toews Duncan line looked pretty dominant tonight... Toews keeps impressing me every week I keep seeing him, he has the def. of a twisted wrister.. He just seems to get better and having Stafford on his line doesnt make him any worse

UND got beat by Minot State this year... enough said.

With as much as Wisconsin is struggling right now, they are a lock for the NCAA tournament which is over a month away. I believe that they can get things going in this time and if they do will be a deadly team to play in the tournament. Or they could keep imploding!!

Sioux definintely played with an attitude tonight and it showed why NO one wants to play the Sioux this time of year, even the #1 team in the country. I know the gophers are squirmin in their seats a little bit more after tonights win... the bracket was looking much easier for them before tonights win.

I never said Finland wasnt good because they are a great team but I think the US has a legit chance if they play like they did today and Dipietro plays how he has been playing. How many games can Nittymaki stand on his head for the Fins? Even though the Fins shut out Canada, I would much rather play the Fins over the Canadiens.

I know this game didnt matter but why was Esche even playing. He looked horrible and lost the game for them in the third period. He gave up 2 goals on 3 shots at one point in the 3rd. Also, did anyone else see Tkachuk go charging after Kovalev after the game, he was pretty pissed. Other than Esche, I thought the US played a great game and have a great chance of beating Finland if they play like this tomorrow.

A sweep would be huge this weekend for the Sioux. With a sweep, we could potentially end Denvers season and finally get a little payback for them ending ours the past 2.

After that long post I really do not like NDSU

Oshie's goal tonight was beautiful... with the Blues as bad as they are I think it will be miraculous if Oshie is here more than 2 years

The NDSU club team got in a brawl this weekend at Minot State. I think the Bison are still laying on the ice, it was brutal.

I think it is a great idea but where are the nearest opponents? Travel would be pretty expensive

Both goalies have proved they are great D1 goalies but neither has really taken the starting job by the horns with their play to this point. Parise and Phil have not been the problem but rather the inconsistent offense

So what is wrong with watching a great hockey game while showing a little pride in your team and cheering for them? A loud atmosphere helps out the home team and gets in the road teams head. I dont think anyone at Duke University is telling the students to be quiet and not to stand. I also like to watch the hockey game but believe with 3 minutes left in a one goal game that I should be able to stand up and would hope that the rest of the arena would follow.

All I know is that when I am 40 and the telephone rings from the alumni association, I will probably think back to my days as a student and remember how disrespected we as students were. Not only by the people at the Ralph but the whole community of Grand Forks. We are trying to come up with solutions but it seems that no one really wants to work with us but rather dictate. We all want the same thing which is to win so instead of always immediately criticizing, look at this from a different perspetive other than your own . I love UND but hate all the baggage that comes from people not willing to come to compromise.
