  1. Just too many seats RIGHT ON THE GLASS to choose from I guess. Or, it's closer to the beer.
  2. It's just painful to see all of those empty seats right on the friggin' glass! I know it's waaaay up there, but come on, it's not much different than here - cold and snowy. Why not go and watch some of the best college hockey in the country? Sad waste.
  3. For those having trouble with the video feed, try downloading the latest version of RealPlayer and then launch in the "Theater Mode". It's in the top left corner of the small screen. Made all the difference in the world for me. And if you get the pixels at the bottom of the screen, close and re-open the RealPlayer, clears it right up. And I agree, the announcer is doing a great job. Shyak is a solid guy, from my hometown of Devils Lake, ND. He's a players coach and well respected.
  4. Here's a little something to pass the time until puck drop. A good friend who played up in Alaska sent it to me. I'm sure there are many on this board who have listened/watched this; but it's just too dang funny to not pass along. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3b_7S-sGBo
  5. There's a 10 minute "cooling off" period after the game for the players and coaches. Maybe we should do the same thing here. Just a suggestion. I, for one, am ready for next season and the continued winning tradition of Fighting Sioux hockey!!
  6. Does anyone know where to pick this up on the net? I will be stuck at my desk and will NOT be able to leave under any circumstances. I can try to get through the game and keep people from telling me the score or winner - but it didn't work last year and don't want to take the chance. Any help would be GREAT! GO SIOUX!!!!!

  8. I thought I was the only one who couldn't sleep at night and came across one of those Jedi mind trick "infomercials".
  9. He might even try to skate them for half of the intermission!
  10. Enrico Palotzo better have one hell of a great Tony Robins style motivational speech for his guys or this could get seriously ugly fast.
  11. Wow! That could/should have been a 5:00 call easily. He kept ridingh the guy all the way into the boards even after he was half way down on his knees. Surprised it wasn't called.
  12. Yea, me too, same results. Just looking for the magic fix that will make it look "just like tv". But this beats not being able to watch at all. Maybe someone will figure something out by tonight.
  13. This SopCast is great! How's the saying go, necessity is the mother of invention? Redfrog is owed a LOT of beers from many of us cable handicapped Sioux fans. Redfrog, anyone tried tinkering around with the settings to see if we could sharpen up the picture at all? It's O.K. in the small screen, but in full screen the it gets kind of fuzzy. And seeing all of the buttons I'm tempted, but don't want to screw anything up in fear of not being able to get the picture back for the REAL game tonight. Any help appreciated!
  14. Redfrog, or anyone else using SopCast. Has anyone messed around with the settings to try to sharpen up the picuture? It's not horrible, but it's not a great picture in full screen mode and fast action. I figured with all of the setting on the VLC player there might be a way to sharpen things up. If not, it sure beats listening to it on radio via the internet. Thanks for any help!
  15. Tell him to go to any of the Joe Senser's Sports Bar. Depending on where he lives, there is probably one within a 20 minute drive of him. Senser's has been a Fighting Sioux friendly bar for a LONG time. I'm sure with the TV blackout (for those of silly enough to purchase cable) there will be many Sioux fans at all locations. We're planning on meeting a group at the Plymouth location. Here's the website link for him with all locations and directions: http://www.sensers.com/ He'll be well taken care of by the Sioux faithful.
  16. For those who won't be able to get to the Ralph or live here in Rodentville, good news! Well, at least on Friday night. The Friday night game will be broadcast on Fox College Sports Channel (FCSC). It's channel 263 on Comcast Northwest suburbs, check your local listings for your cable or dish subscriber. Not sure if they will pick up the FSSN feed or if it will be the Menver Fox team. After listening to them last weekend against the goofs it will be tough, but they can't be as bad as those two guys from Landcow State. They did compliment the Sioux fans and the Ralph, of course. Anyone have news on the Saturday night game? Other than the Fighting Sioux Net broadcast.
  17. I knew I shouldn't have had, "just one more beer" last night. Long week at work, haven't read anything sports related and now just made an ass of myself. Time for a nap.
  18. So it's 1:00 PM, was there an announcement or not? Anybody know who this is??
  19. If I remember right, when they broadcast the Sioux game they showed an upcoming schedule and they had the Sioux Dogs game listed. That would be really great to be able to watch those games locally instead of venturing up to the DECC. Duluth in February is like Vegas in July, if you don't have to go - don't.
  20. Sweet! Thanks for the update!
  21. That took longer than I thought to get the first good throw down. Vandevelde threw a couple of nice shots!
  22. Bingo, Bango, Bongo!! That's it!! What a really great surprise!! Good bye computer monitor, hello big screen!! This is awesome!! I'd like the guy (or gal) who found this a beer, or 3!
  23. What's playing right now? I can't seem to find it. I have comast too, but in Maple Grove so I'm not sure which channel it is? Thanks for the help!
  24. Yes, it was Dobson that took Big Joe to his knees. But, Joe did finish his pass up ice and start the rush. You can bring him a level lower, but you can't take him down. Not sure how he was even able to take a breath after being hit in that "area", little lone make a pass.
  25. That's what I'm afraid of, they will probably be gone by Monday morning. I might just buy them and hope for a snow storm. Ha! Been there many times, always a Sioux Fan sea to join. See you there.
