I'm excited to see UND on a big ice sheet again as I think they play better on it. Although, the Sioux got a split against Clown, I thought it was the best puck-moving effort for a series this year. The Sioux have the speed and skill that is accentuated with a little more room on the ice. i expect Duncan to have a big weekend even though there hasn't been any evidence to back that up. Oshie will also have a monster series as this will be his last series at the John in his college career and he seemed to have the injuries behind him and was the man last weekend. Stats show that 3 goals is what you need against the Goofs and a goal or two deficit going into the 3rd isn't a sure loss with their history of metldowns in the last frame. Hopefully, the Sioux will breakout exactly like last year in Mpls and elevate their game for the rest of the season. Go Sioux!

i don't understand Shiayk's logic either. i haven't seen a UND oppenent this season that hooked and held the Sioux as much as UAA did this weekend.

my opinion is that CC and Denver aren't as good as their record and fast start just like the Sioux are not as average as their record and slow start. on the other hand, the Gopher just don't have it this year and suck. it could be that way for UND next year.

I also was surprised by his comments today as i know he hasn't see a lot of UND this year. The Sioux haven't lived up to the pre-season hype to this point and it's not a stretch to say that they won't make the frozen four BUT a dominant sweep of the Gophers next weekend might change his mind. although, maybe not since the goofs suck this year. Let's face it, the Sioux were .500 for most of the year and what is .500.....? Average. Will they go on a run like the last 3 years......? I think YES. also, about him hating UND, etc., i know him personally and most of that stuff is for radio and to get the UND fan base riled up. when they started the Pond show they said it wasn't going to be a goofer show, etc... but that's exactly what it's turned out to be. i think they talked more about the wcha in general last year which i would prefer.

yeah, i miss it too. pcm stated on another board that he missed the show this week. why don't they just podcast the coaches show every wed? maybe our buddy Brad could get that done.

You can have Lapoint and Marto play D and pair them with a veteran. i like CG on D as well but I think he's the missing piece to that line. We just need the coach to get on board!
