The next time, if there is a next time, University of Wisconsin men's hockey coach Mike Eaves will not make the same scheduling mistake. The looming holiday break means final semester exams. Eaves had individual meetings with his players this week and came away "amazed" at the academic workloads they were carrying. One veteran, senior winger Nick Licari, didn't play this night due to a high volume of schoolwork. Well going through all of the posted recruits and checking on jersey numbers and appearances he's the only one that appears to match... there is always the possibility that I could be wrong, but I tend to be pretty good when it comes to the hockey boys...

I work in the Memorial Union on campus... I was working this morning and I noticed Eades giving someone a tour. I figured it must be a hockey recruit... on the back of his jacket was a number 9... but I didn't catch the name on the front. Doing some research on our recruits and the number and picture of Evan Trupp matches. He's definatly here visiting this weekend.

The freshman seem to work really well together... but other choice do they have when there are four of them on the ice at the same time!

I'm excited for the Denver series at home next weekend. Before then we'll have to work on penalties though. With this excellente goal tending, it'll be a great series!
