  1. updated! Thanks for all the research!!! Hopefully we can get another series/game.... I'd prefer to not have the last week off, but I guess we aren't having a WCHA game (maybe WI). Oct can't come soon enough
  2. I was thinking... depending upon where I end up after graduation that I wanted to go to either Mankato or Tech, but since those two dates are so far apart, perhaps I could just go to both of them. Assuming the FAA hasn't called me up yet...

  4. Thanks! Updated again
  5. I updated the schedule to include those.... I know it's been previously mentioned, but I can't seem to find it (I didn't look too hard)... who are the other teams in the Ice Breaker... BC, BU... ?
  6. haha... oops... thanks!
  7. This is what I've pieced together so far.... University of Manitoba - Exhibition Oct 10/11/12 Ice Breaker Tourney - Michigan State, BU, UND, and a UMass school Oct 17/18 @ Mankato Oct 24/25 Oct 31/Nov 1 - home against Wisconsin Nov 7/8 @ Colorado College Nov 14/15 - home against Alaska Anchorage Nov 21/22 @ Duluth Nov 28/29 - home against Cornell Dec 5/6 - @ Harvard Dec 12/13 - home against St Cloud Dec 19/20 Dec 27/28 - Michigan State/ winner of Michigan/Michigan Tech (GLI) Jan 2/3 - @ Bemidji/home against Bemidji Jan 9/10 - home against Minnesota Jan 16/17 - @ Michigan Tech Jan 23/24 - home against Denver Jan 30/31 @ St Cloud Feb 6/7 Feb 13/14 - home against Mankato Feb 20/21 @ Alaska Anchorage Feb 27/28 - home against Colorado College (could be a Sat/Sun series due to high school state tourney) Mar 6/7 Mar 13/14 - WCHA Playoffs Mar 20/21 - WCHA Final Five Mar 27/28 - NCAA Regionals Apr 9-11 - NCAA Frozen Four in Washington D.C.
  8. Interesting.... classes don't begin after winter break until the 12th... so those tickets would NOT be included in student season tickets...
  9. The Michigan Tech schedule is out and we play in Houghton Jan 16th and 17th... Also we will be in the Great Lakes Invitational Dec 27th and 28th ... I believe Dec 27th will be against Michigan State, and then Dec 28th will be the winner of the Michigan/Michigan Tech game... those games are in Detroit.
  10. Green Bay will ALWAYS be Titletown in my book, so I don't really care what ESPN thinks.
  11. This was published in today's Dakota Student, but I couldn't find the updated link online, so I thought that I would just type out the letter instead. A fantastic letter! For those of us that were at the game, it was so much fun to learn the Irish songs, dances, and cheers. There are definitly a team that I would cheer for again in the future. The Sioux fans did a fabulous job of representing not only the team, but also the University. EDIT: The link is finally available: Thank You to Sioux Hockey Fans
  12. Congrats Sioux on another great season. As a graduating senior myself, it has been more than a pleasure to watch this team compete nationally year in and year out. From the time when I was a freshman and didn't completely understand what being part of the Fighting Sioux family truly meant to now, so many games/tournaments/seasons later when I can honestly say that I don't want to graduate because I don't want to miss this. On and off the ice, this team has shown that they are truly a family. The last game of the season may not have turned out as we all hoped, but remember back in December when we hadn't even swept a team yet... who could have imagined how far we would have come? I have a comical memory for every player from over the past four years and I wouldn't trade those memories for the world! (maybe sometime I'll type them up and post them). So thanks guys, for once again having a great season, giving it your all, and never truly giving up, even when down by six goals. To all the fans... wow! Denver was amazing. I have always known that Sioux fans travel well, but Denver was the icing on the cake. From Brooklyn's before the game (when you couldn't even move because it was THAT crowded) to the championship game on Saturday when us students started leading Notre Dame cheers, we are truly a program that should be envied. We have an amazing rink, an awesome team, and loyal, devoted fans that are willing to travel anywhere to watch the Sioux play. So while I am graduating in less than a month, don't expect this to be my last Sioux hockey game. As a Sioux fan, and part of the family, I now have the pleasure of not only being able to follow the Sioux team during the college season, but also being able to watch our alumni in the NHL regularly competing for the Stanley Cup.... this program is what college hockey is all about. Just how crowded was Brooklyn's you ask.... Check it out for yourself...
  13. We're packing up our car right now to start driving down there.... Go Sioux!!!
  14. So I've been slightly bored this weekend and decided to search for blogs about the Frozen Four. I stumbled upon this one: Hockey Blog In Canada

  18. Article on Hunter Bishop that I found on an Ohio State forum: Bishop Nets MVP Award
  19. Awwww! I love it! I can think of very few other sports teams in which an athlete would go out of his way like that just to make a kid's day. What a class act For sure moves him up my list of favorite players, although I'm sure all Sioux players would do something like this....
  20. not to mention all the Sioux fans that already live in the Denver/CO area...
  21. I'm in section 108 row 2 through Sioux Crew...
  22. I'm driving down on Wed afternoon some time... off the top of my head I can name at least 20 other students that will also be going and driving down on Wed... I expect a HUGE Sioux turnout
  23. Sioux Yeah Yeah and I are going on Monday night
  24. Anyone that's interested... Sioux Crew (75 students) will be sitting in section 106 Can't wait to see everyone in Denver!!!
  25. Has LaPoint fully recovered from his concussion? Remember Kaip's freshman year it didn't go so well and he sat out half the season not even able to practice...
