gfbugman - you may be able to help me out here. I'm new to the Detroit area so I don't know a whole lot about downtown. I was down at Ford Field yesterday to buy some football tickets, and had no idea where to park! There didn't seem to be any large open lots anywhere. Where do the people that go to the football games (and the Frozen Four) park? Do they take shuttles from other places downtown? I know there is some parking on the other side of Comerica...

You can tell it's the beginning of the season. The chemistry isn't quite there yet, as is evident from the blind passes to nobody. By the end of the season the boys will know where they expect their linemates to be, and they'll be there.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to give a little update since I am now living in the Detroit Metro area. I currently work at the airport and get to walk through the terminal every day. They already have a kiosk up in the central part of the main terminal (by the fountain, for any of you that know the airport) that is counting down to the 2010 Frozen Four. I'm sure the logo is online somewhere, but there is a picture of the logo and I really like it! But anyway, according to the countdown, 287 more days until the Frozen Four (I'm pretty sure that's what it said last time I checked). It counts down to the second. Good to see the host city is already advertising/getting involved.

I'll post what I posted on the facebook group: I think that camping out is a good idea... however I think that the 5 PM limit is a poor choice. I personally have camped out for Sioux Crew Frozen Four tickets and had a great time. All the fans in line got along very well. Those who really wanted to be there, were there. No one bought tickets just to jack the price up and resell them online for the profit. Get rid of the time limit and let people line up when they feel it's necessary. A way to get around people who have to go to class, go to work, or do other stuff is to allow groups of four (for example). Just say that at least one person has to be in line at all times, and all four must be present to purchase the tickets on Saturday morning.
