Next season: Baseball for sure, volleybal, and basketball likely. Football: no one knows. Maybe 2012.

The Sioux seem to perform opposite of my expectations. Contrary to the surprise performance against Poly, I just don't see the defense being able to hold off the Aggies passing game, and the Sioux offense has been too sporadic with inconsistent line play. Hope I'm wrong: UC Davis 38, Sioux 14 The next matchup vs C Arkansas seems more favorable.

How many Sioux fans were at the game last year? Would expect the Sioux fans there to mainly be California alums.

YOu can search for it in this forum. There's an article stating Denver does not intend to meet the SunBelt requirements and must have a new conference by 2012-13.

Is it possible she has a full academic scholarship?

Denver must either decide to sponsor the minimum number of SunBelt sports (14) or leave: Denver is choosing to leave. UNO wouldn't be able to afford the minimum number of DI sports. The SunBelt will be at 11 members, with only UALR not playing football. Soon too be FBS UTSA and Georgia St might have better shots than Tx State, but the Belt really doesn't need more teams.

A sort of fantasy is for UND to get the next Dan LeFevour or Case Keenum.

TechFirst: Hope you're not offended by our Aggie guests!

New Orleans likely dropping to DIII The $50 million UNO thought they might receive appears to be more like $7 million. Two Louisiana schools (UNO and Centenary) dropping to DIII. Rumor has it that Tulane is considering it also.

Does volleyball annouce their signings soon? Senior Nikki Husfeldt, Andover

The Massey Rating dropped UND 21 spots this late in the season after the close win vs SOU. I don't believe UND has ever been rated this low in the past 10 years - typically UND is more in the 100-120 range. If it's any consolation, Central Arkansas rating is dropping almost every week and is not nearly the team it was last year. UND might have a better shot and match up better vs UCA than against UCD.

Mercyhurst Men's hockey program explores league switch to CCHA So now Mercyhurst is talking with the CCHA? Talk about a kick to Huntsville's program.

With the Twins opening a new stadium, the Metrodome as college baseball venue should be more available. The Gophers play most of their games there too. Would be interesting if the Metrodome becomes be a weekend home away from home for the Sioux. Could even become a Summit League baseball tournament location. What might really attract fans is if a UND-NDSU baseball series could be played in the new Target Field in late April or early May.

Jones has been twittering that a number of players have had a round of influenza, and haven't been able to field 10 players for a full practice. On the coaches show, Jones seemed very high on Wilmer, calling him the fastest player on the court and athletic. Seemed Jones also talked up Archer quite a bit.

On Halloween, the volleyball game was scheduled at noon, so students/fans could attend both voleyball and football if they so chose. Why can't the women's home game scheduled simultaneously with men's away games, with the men's game being simulcast on the Big Screen? Arguably it could be distracting to the women, but attendance would soar.

He knows the 3-4, and he's an up and coming coach that gets results, and he's affordable within UND's budget. I wouldn't mind Digger Anderson either, but it's too early in his coaching career.

We're not transitioning from D2 to NAIA. So we should go non-scholarship then? All kinds of players would want to be part of a UND program without being reimbursed and perform better than what was observed yesterday. Part of that is excellence is in every endeavor: on the field too. He would probably have made some changes and adjsutments.

Wishfully, thinking long-term, after our current coaches are gone because of winning success. So, coachdags, what is the team's current problem? We basically should have lost to a team that is less than Minot State. Until this game, I had given the coaching staff and players a free pass and instead they keep laying eggs. Being blown out by SFA, SUU, and even Sioux Falls, I could understand based on circumstances. Non-performance against SOU, in the last home game of the season, the last game for seniors, doesn't cut it. How is the team's performance acceptable to you?

The schedule next year is much better. Non-BCS and FCS teams that don't have bowl or playoff possibilities in October and later often don't draw flies. Here's Ryan Bakken Column on the same issue. Bakken mentions NDSU's fan base. Would agree bison fans are much more gullible and insecure, so the ego-inflating DI label does wonders for their attendance. However, NDSU's win against Minnesota really legitimized and galvanized their fan base more than the Valpo show ever could have, and their fan base are still basking in that glow. If NDSU doesn't see playoffs in a few years, it could get very ugly there. I was personally hoping that UND could see the playoffs before NDSU, but schizophrenic play is not going to get us there.
