I remember that game...I could never figure out how Halliday lost after looking so good earlier in that tourney...sergeant Central had a dominant big guy (Steve Kretchman?) and Marlon Bell for Halliday was lights out in the earlier rounds...if they would have had the 3 point shot back then, that game may have gone differently...Shoate Little Soldier and Wes Wasem were also on that Halliday squad...can anyone name any other members of that team?

I believe you are correct...I think he used to do our district 22 basketball games at the Minot Auditorium back in the day...everybody from 4 year old boys to 90 year old ladies used to curse him during the games...

Well Hrkac was no angel but he was by far the best player the year he won...isnt there an award for 'Best Citizen' or nicest guy in hockey as well? Usually does the most community service (volunteer), helps old ladies across the street, etc...

Henry Milkey reffed a lot of games in our region and he was comparable to the WCHA reffing we see today...

Went to the game last night...trying to remember a performance as lackluster in recent memory but having trouble...maybe a bag skate after the 2nd period would have been in order...anyway, while they try get the train back on the tracks, two more points slipped away...I'm hoping for a big turnaround tonite...if you can't play hard against a league opponent, in your own building, then maybe you need a little more motivtation...and by the way, hit someone out there!
