Here is the most recent UND BB Newsletter. Interesting update on the incoming HS recruits, the trip to Europe, etc. I would recommend, if you can, assisting the program with a $100 contribution for their summer workouts. Uersity of North Dakota 801 Oxford St. Stop 9046 Bm 205 Grand Forks, ND 58202-9046 (701) 777-3478 Hi David, Attached is our spring newsletter and some pictures from the alumni event. We have a big Summer coming up and can’t wait to get started with workouts next week. Let us know if you are in the Grand Forks area. We would love to have you stop by our office to visit. Have a great summer. Thanks for all you do, Coach Brian Jones To download attachments, click on this link : Click here Click here Click here Click here Click here Subject : Newsletter and Alumni Pictures

New offer: DE Nick Kramer, 6'4", 220, Plymouth (Wayzata), MN Has offers from UNI & USD

I am bringing all Wiki pages up to date. I don't think this offer has been mentioned here: PF Klay Stall, 6'9”, 190, Chandler (Basha), AZ Has offers from San Jose St, UCSB, Fresno St, EWU & PSU

I am out of the country - all Wiki pages will be updated next week.

With 15 underclassladies on this year's roster and seven newcomers arriving this fall, it appears many current players will not be playing for us next fall. It will be interesting who remains.
-
New offer: Ryan Kriener, 6'9", 240, Spirit Lake, IA Has offers from SDSU, UNI, IN St & W IL. Landing a PF that size would certainly help our cause!

If we have another lousy season and Jones is let go, I would guess that the vast majority of players would welcome a new coach. They are smart enough to know when the team is underperforming due to less than stellar coaching!
-
Why do you say that? The players wouldn't disappear - only Jones!
-
Offeree Phillip Howard has verballed to the Gophers.
-
Great site - thanks for providing it. I see we have a '17 commitment - Jenna Murphy (Spring Lake Park/Minnesota Fury) is a 6' wing who averaged 18.6 this year.
-
I wasn't aware that UND hosted another Junior Day yesterday - anyone know who were the 20+ prospects on campus?
-
He is a senior so I assume he would arrive this fall. Nice size but average speed for a CB.
-
At one point, there were reports that we had offered Olson (I know we talked to him) but I would guess that isn't fact - you wouldn't think he would have opted for Northern State over us.
-
For the first time, we agree on something. That said, the budget won't see a significant increase until attendance increases!!

I watched Xavier tonight against Wahlert (Dubuque). Xavier was ahead by 6 at the half but lost by 13. McDermott had 19 but was only 5 or 17 from the floor.
-
McDermott scored 24 in Xavier's quarterfinal win yesterday, including 15 of 16 from the line - plus 8 rebounds while playing all 32 minutes of the game.
-
Seales was his conference's Player of the Year. North Scott is 21-3 going into Friday's semi-final game against Iowa City West in the 4A state tourney. He's averaging 17 and 6.5.

A quote from the Forum article about the Bison playing for the Summit championship and the possibility of going to the Dance again this year: "The defending champion Bison lost six seniors from last year’s team, yet found a way to get back to the title game this season with virtually an entirely new roster and coaching staff." And some on this board feel that our level of mediocrity (or worse) should continue another couple of years - to be fair with Coach Jones! Unreal!
-
I truly believe that there is more of a chance of players transferring over the next year or two if a coaching change is NOT made. Good players want to win!

Where does Klabo get her points? Back to the basket? What kind of range does she have? C or PF in college?
-
It is amazing to see Weber State as an No. 8 seed!

While I appreciate your optimism and hope you are correct (whoever the coach may be), I don't see how we can improve by 8-10 wins in league play. We don't know how good the newcomers will be (or how soon they will be major contributors) plus we still don't know who will rebound for us. At 200 pounds and the 6'8" height possibly being exaggerated, it is unlikely that Bernstine will be a big-time power forward and the three big freshman likely won't add enough poundage in the off-season to be overly effective on the boards. I do agree that Coleman should have seen more court time. Plus, all the other BSC teams will also be doing all they can to improve.
