Why speculate when you don't have to? Anyways, whats the word on UND possibly going after GFC's QB?

Mr. Anderson certainly would be the blue chipper of the recruiting class if UND can land him. He is most likely the best prospect to come out of North Dakota since Greg Eslinger. Word is Minnesota is looking at offering him a scholly to play Linebacker for them. So one could argue if the Gophs would want him to play Linebacker, he's going to end up playing linebacker.

Anderson has already came out and said he wants to play Middle linebacker in college. I'd have hard tiime believing he would go to a school who wouldn't want him at the position of his choice. I don't know how you could ever even possibly fathem him playing Nose Guard.

You guys kind of killed whatever relevance this had in regards to football.
  5. Believe it or not, Red River had one of the better programs in the EDC prior to the last couple of years. They've just had a couple of down years on talent as of late.
  6. Why are you guys making this out to be the biggest deal in the world? It happens all the time in football. I can recall numerous athletes who have made verbal committments who have changed their mind. It also happens in college basketball as well. Verbal committments mean absolutely nothing now a days. Until your signed sealed and delivered, your free game to everyone else. Some athletes use verbals are bargaining power to other schools as well. Especially if schools with higher prestige don't recruit them until later on in the process. For example, are you going to chose Minnesota Law school over Harvard Law school just because you give them your word before you actually started? Of course your not. C'mon folks, lets get real. Thee only reason why its such a big deal is because its NDSU. Had it been Minnesota or some other d1 school, you guys would be happy for her. Also comparing committing to marriage is absolutely ludicris. We're talking about college sports versus spending the rest of your life with someone. Let's get real.
  7. I love how the Sioux use him. They utilize his whole game. Whether it be screen passes or draws off of Shotgun formations. They understood from the beginning that he's a playmaker and that he's one of those rare players that can make anything happen at any point in the game. I guess I'd compare him to a smaller division 2 version of Reggie Bush. Everytime he touches the ball you have to worry about him taking it to the house. Every week I see him play, he impresses me more and more. Guess it just shows ya that you can't teach heart.
  8. One huge difference between Sproles and Griffin versus Weston Dressler. Weston Dressler is 5ft 6 160 pounds!!!!!!!! Show me a legit half back playing d1 or d2 football thats 5ft 6 160. Sproles and Griffin were both built like trucks and could take loads of punishment because of their stature. They were certainly thicker and much more built then Dressler ever will be. Dressler isn't thick in the least bit and his body would struggle to take the punishment of even divison 2 football to play running back. Don't you think there is a reason why Lennon uses Dressler at Wide out and returns? Don't you honestly think if he thought Dressler could have played RB at UND he would have made the switch by now? Look at UND's roster for running backs. None of them are 160 pounds. Look at how NDSU uses Shamen Washington. Same exact type of players. But for the same reason as Dressler, Shamen will never be a feature back. Absolutely electric on returns and when used in certain formations, he's very effective at making plays. But certainly not at taking the punishment of an everyday back.
  9. North Dakota football is terrible compared to most states. Yes, we've had a few athletes make it big. But if you actually look at the percentages of kids that actually go play major college football, its very low. States are much further ahead as far as the weight room goes and their off season programs go well. 2nd thing about Dressler. Don't you think he's a product within the system? I'll give him the fact that he put up amazing statistics there at Bismark, but there's been a good handful of running back's have also went on to put up really good numbers within Bismark's system. There was a running back who played back in 2000-2001 who put up huge numbers, but he never went onto play major college football. They have a running back right now who's been putting up big numbers. Also, when was the last time UND had a 5ft 7 guy be their feature back? UND generally has used running backs who can pound the ball. Dressler isn't a guy who is going to be able to pound the ball.
  10. No, Dressler doesn't have the body to take the punishment that his body would take being the featured back.

  12. Did you guys ever see the article that got posted in the Green Bay Gazette about their coach in regards to how he handled the whole Tyler Koenig fiasco?
  13. Very interesting and of course it would be very entertaining. How couldn't ya love watching guys in the green room playing Texas Hold Em. That'd definately make it watchable alone right there. I don't think the owners would be too thrilled with the idea though.
