  1. Gotcha...that makes sense. Agreed.
  2. Wow, putting Brad Berry with his 241 NHL games played in the same category as Ted Williams and Wayne Gretzky!!! I'd say the term "great player" is a fairly relative term. Both Berry and Jackson are both "great" players compared to many people. If you're saying that Brad Berry is a "great" player compared to Dane Jackson because he has 196 more NHL games played...well, I don't know that you can say that. If you're saying that Brad Berry is a "great" player in the context of the NHL...umm...no. * Disclaimer - maybe I misunderstood what you were trying to say here. Actually, I hope that's the case.
  3. A Bachelor's degree is required. Does he have a degree?
  4. Completely agree. They know who they want, and this position is already filled. They just need to go through the motions with this to be compliant.
  5. Yet another gfhockey and gobc fail. They're starting to really mount lately.
  6. This immediately caught my eye: QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Experience coaching power play at the NHL level Minimum 5 years’ experience coaching at the NHL level
  7. Yes, I'd guess the NHL experience played a big part of it: Berry - 241 NHL games played, besides his UND coaching experience he also has 2 years as an assistant with the Manitoba Moose (AHL) and 2 years as an assistant with the Columbus Blue Jackets (NHL) Jackson - 45 NHL games played, besides his UND coaching experience he has 2 years as an assistant with the Manchester Monarchs (AHL) and was a mid season replacement as a head coach for the Adirondack Frostbite (UHL) Also, for what it's worth I spoke to a former player who played when Berry was an assistant. I spoke to him about his thoughts on the Berry hiring and his quote about Berry was "Guys love to play for him. Great players coach...he was one of the best hockey technique/systems guys I ever played for."
  8. Good heavens! I can't wait for a rebuttal to be submitted and printed.

  15. I'll take the opposite - TB and CHI.
  16. Surprised nobody commented about this, but Stoner's goal should not have counted due to goalie interference by Silfverberg. As Crawford put his glove up to catch the puck, Silfverberg ran into his glove, moving it so he couldn't catch the puck. I'm not sure why they didn't review that. Or why Crawford didn't make a bigger deal about it. He yelled a bit to the the after the goal, but I'd have thought he would have gone apeshit after that to make his point.
  17. Where that money ends up I don't know, but my guess is that the Flyers are going to be paying UND $100,000, not Hakstol.
  18. Why do you have to call out DaveK like that?!
