Wow! Congrats to Providence Friars. Hell of a win. I don't feel bad at all for BU or Eichel. Melrose and Buccigross are crying with them.

Did I mention it really flipping sucks when UND's hockey season ends? Already wishing it was a new season. Ugh.

^ This. I really want UND to win a title with Hakstol as head coach. His teams have accomplished every but a national title. I fully agree with you that if Hakstol coached team gets over that hump and finally wins a title, I think more would come soon after. But yeah, how many years will it take? How many more seasons will the UND upper brass give him? When it happens. When UND finally captures #8. It's gonna feel so !@#$ing good. The teasing and foreplay has gotten old. Time to move past that.

When UND loses in the tournament, it always stews in my head for at least day. Don't even want to go into work tomorrow. Going to be thinking about what could've been the whole time.

Yeah, but look what they did when they had a loaded team. They won a national title didn't they? Not saying this years UND team was loaded but they had serious depth. Also partly venting at UND teams in past years that were stacked and had their title hopes crushed.

They can point out Sandelin 1 > Hakstol 0. But yeah, I get what you mean. Still it's pretty darn hard to continually have faith each and every year with nothing to show for it.

Why can't !@#$ go our way for once? Man, I don't get how this can continually happen. I really don't think it's anything related to Hakstol but !@#$ just doesn't go our way when we have good teams. Hell, I'd say it really started in 03-04(Blais' last year) when we had that stacked team with Parise and Bochenski. Thought UND would cruise through the tournament. Nope, lost to Denver and Denver ends up winning the title.

Thank you seniors for the 4 years you put into the program. While you couldn't attain the ultimate goal of a national title, you guys still made other accomplishments. The loss tonight is no doubt hurting you guys more than us fans. But you guys didn't give up and made a game of it against BU. Good luck in continuing your ice hockey careers or life after college hockey.

Gwozdecky? I'd like his chances with any college team that could lure him. Not being anti-Hak or anything. Just throwing out an example.

So Zane and J. Schmaltz are early departure risks. Odds of their return for a senior season? I'm guessing J. Schmaltz is gone unless he really wants to play another year with Nick.

Zane's 2 softies he let in end up truly being costly and haunting. At least they made it somewhat interesting end I guess.

Get my hopes up every year only to have them dashed/crushed. I just don't get it how they get so close more often than not to only lay an egg on the big stage.
