Definitely had worse 2nd periods this year. Good kill on the 5 minute penalty to Watkins. Need to come out on fire in the 3rd!
Your right. Being down by one goal isn't too bad as other games have been in the 2nd period.

Having grown up right across the street from Notre Dame, I am keenly aware of the fact that they are not part of the Big Ten. The point I was making with that was the high seeded SEC teams are going to struggle, sans LSU...
My mistake, I thought you were comparing match-ups between SEC vs. Big 10.

SEC is a great conference top to bottom, but the top of the Big Ten is better than the top of the SEC. B10 definitely does not have the depth though. I will give you that LSU is going to destroy Notre Shame, but PSU just topped Tennecheat, and Wisky is taking it to Arkansas right now.
You do know that Notre Dame is not part of the Big 10. It's an independent.

The Minot JV plays in the Williston turnament but not the Varsity.
Some of you were wondering why the West deserves their own thread. I will tell you why. It is because the ND high school hockey thread gets filled with page after page of arguments about whether Fargo South rules or Grand Forks rules (or something similar). Fun to read sometimes but other times I want to see game scores and read some stuff about the West.
The bus did get a few rabbits thrown at it in Williston.
I back Kraft up all the way. He did not taunt the Williston players; he never even realy said anything to them. He was quick about it, gave the puck to the fans, and went back to his bench. He was not trying to make the Williston players mad or anything like that. He did not do it to make a name for himself. He was doing it for the fun of it. Now saying that, if another player does the same thing I will not support him.
I'd never support a mini-Terrel Owens on ice skates. And definitely not Dillon Kraft since his personality is wanting to show-off and be cocky. I mean he tells me and my friends everyday during school that he wants to get into a big fight during a game. I'm sorry but it's classless and really gives a bad image of the overall Minot High hockey team.

I'd be talking to him about his actions if I were his coach...or parents. Like Wilbur, I think that puck signing should have been a penalty.
I should make a correction though. At the time when he was talking about doing that it wasn't after making that breakaway goal...cause it was like 2-3 days ago when he said it and I doubt he has foresight and I just realized the game was yesterday.
. But I could see him doing that though he's a very pompous person on and off the ice. None the less though I do talk to him because he's a Fighting Sioux hockey fan And in case anyone wants to see exactly what he did here is the link to the video of the goal:

Call me old school, but that was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in a high school hockey game...Yeah you scored a goal, but why on earth do you show up the other team by getting the puck out of the net and then signing it like some primadonna football player. For any Williston fans or other hockey fans I apologize for this because Minot already has a bad reputation in cities around the state. Gosh...I just don't know what else to say...
Personally I think he should have been given a penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct, but then I guess some people I talked to had no problem with it. Still, there is no place for that in the game of hockey.
I've NEVER been more upset after a Minot goal....
Now I understand what he was talking about when he was talking about scoring a breakaway goal while we were in class. He was boasting about it to the teacher who clearly looked disgusted. I remember he said that what he really wanted to do is use his hockey stick and "pretend" it was a bow and then use the hand motion of shooting an arrow at the goalie =/

I think I just might have to check a game out at the mooch or go to the Final Five to see how bad some Gopher fans are? Cause for all the gopher fans I've met and talked with were really respectable people. However, that doesn't mean that I'm a fan of the gophers!
If we continue to have a bad season all I wish out of the Sioux is going to Minnesota and sweeping the series. I'd sure be content with that
. And I do realize it's been a while since the Sioux have swept the Gophers when the Gophers play at home...but hey miracles can happen

I think we all need to just stay positive for the rest of the season. Yes, this is a rebuilding season lets face it. The Sioux can't always be perfect and win them all. Hopefully, they figure some things out over the Christmas Break out East. We just have to support them through the good and bad.
Go Sioux!!
For some it is easier to blame someone or something for the season the Fighting Sioux have been having so far this year rather than being positive.
