  1. I was about to book a flight to Denver yesterday and cab over to the Pepsi Center but I talked myself out of it. So I am praying we will be able to get these games live in the Twin Cities. Well- I will at least have a friend at the game so I can get updates live.
  2. That sounds about right. I think ours were $170 for the package in Columbus.
  3. Anyone know if there is a practice at the xcel that will be open to fans and when?
  4. This is very near the Xcel center in downtown St. Paul. Over the past three years it has had several different owners/names. Basically it is between Kellogg and 4th Street onWabasha also near the Crown Plaza. Definately within walking distance of most downtown spots. There is not alot of signage on the street front so just look for a dark brown/black wall, they sometimes have a small sidewalk sign with the daily special advertised.
  5. Well Pat McGoverns is pretty good atmosphere they have an upstairs and downstairs. Alary's on 7th St has a shuttle to the games at leat they did last year. We usually party at my house before and after games. It's easy to get a beer and the food is way cheeper. I am lucky I only live 3 miles from the X. Christos (greek) and Matty B's have lunch buffets. Buca's is great family style dining (italian) way West 7th Street near where Hwy 5 and Hwy 55 meet. Chico Chica and the Downtowner Woodfire grill both have great sit down food. And the Margaritas at Chico Chica are awesome. I also have a special love for Golden's Deli-great soups and sandwhiches, pizza and other goodies they bake the bread right there. They are on 4th and Wall. Only open til 2:30pm.
  6. Really all the seats at the Xcel are pretty good. Obiviously its more fun to be closer to the action but you should be able to see from pretty much anywhere. I would also check at a boxoffice where you could try to get a couple single seats close together. That's what my sister and I do when things are "sold out"
  7. I just checked the box scores. Bobby G had 66 saves. Both the goalies faced shots in the upper 60's. SCSU is going to be very tired. Guess the fans there got their money's worth tonight.
  8. Yeah I think the Badgers and Gophers will face each other Friday night. I think that should make for an interesting arena atmosphere. Tickets are going to be really hard to come by this year. Then UND with a victory over SCSU and we'll have a rematch of last year with UW and UND in the Championship game. Go SIOUX!!!
  9. So UCSHO reports SCSU over UMD in OT 2-3.
  10. That's a good deal--you better take them. We got ours -11 sets. So we may have a few spare tickets here and there but no packages.
  11. No gopher fans will even be there. They can't even stay til the last buzzer when they are winning in Mpls. and since the team won't be there the fans won't either.
  12. Announcers in DU say they still are in the top 16 for the PWR...but things could still change.
  13. Anyone know how CC turned out? Forget it ... I already know CC goes to game 3.
  14. What'a up with the center ice salute when they (DU) got swept at home???
  15. Gotta love the WCHA. Du empty net. 1:30 in 3rd 2-1 UW
  16. I really want to go to the UAA and UM game tomorrow--wonder how hard it will be to find a ticket? Three series go to 3 games. (maybe 4 but looks like UW may take it away)
  17. I'm sure this has been said but Gophers choke in OT go to game 3!!!!hahahaha Go Seawolves!
  18. Not to change this to a thread about the goofs but I thought that if they get a #1 Seed they will go to Grand Rapids? It is closer than Denver. But I agree most of the seeds and locations will come down to the wire.
  19. Or go the the Ralph and buy them there. Did a big event just go on sale this am? That could be why you can't get through.
  20. Wow interesting night UMD over SCSU, Tech over CC and UW over DU
