  1. I live here for Fighting Sioux hockey and a nice golf course. Both of them are sitting on the chopping block right now.

At least you live within the diversion.........

Heading up around noon. Will post conditions when I get to GF.

Winter does gets long, and I feel for all of you preparing for the Red to do it's thing.

On the plus side . . . no earth quakes, hurricanes, mudslides, tsunamis, killer bees, snakes, alligators and nice spring/summer/falls. Sioux hockey, fishing, lakes, waterfowl, pheasants, good economy, relatively low crime . . . good quality of life.

  2. As to what's actually likely, using the

    What-If Calculator

If I give UND two sweeps and a split, the Sioux end with 42. With a sweep and two splits, 40.

Only Denver, Duluth, and UNO would then be within striking distance. BUT, UNO plays Denver and UMD, so there have to be some losses there. It's pretty easy to come up with a three-way tie at the top, (e.g. a scenario like this):

    UND 28 40

    UMD 28 40

    Nebraska-Omaha 28 40

    Denver 28 39

    UW 28 32

    CC 28 28

    How are tie-breakers determined?

  3. I've listened to plenty of Grand Forks radio when I was out on the boat fishing this summer by using the I heart Radio app on my Blackberry.

Go to the app and click on "All Cities", then either scroll down or type Grand Forks and it will list:

    1. 96.1

    2. 100.3

    3. KJ108

    4. XL 93

Huh. When I go to Grand Forks (or Fargo) all I get are their national channels.

Does the Fighting Sioux website support mobile listing if you sign in for the online broadcast?

  4. Robert Morris should not even stand a chance coming into the Ralph this weekend. Yea, they're in a new conference this year but they are a butt of a program. Im not 100% sure but I think RMU is also dead last in strength of schedule rankings. They just happen to get lucky once every year or so and knock of a a good team (ex. Miami, last yr). If UND comes out ready to play and doesnt take them lightly, they should embarrass Robert Morris. I go to college in PA, about 20mins from RMU so I get to see a lot of their games....pitiful. Might as well be a club roller hockey team.

I've seen my share of Bemidji St./RMU games over the past few years (yes, I know, you're jealous ) . RMU always plays BSU tough and fairly close, and BSU usually plays UND fairly close. So yes, UND should roll, and I hope they do, but I wouldn't take RMU too lightly either.
