Yep, that's what I heard as well. I didn't know the owner. My older son dated an only child of a guy who was one of seven brothers and they all hung out at Judy's. It's more of a 'go to after work for a few' type of bar. I think of it as a neighbor bar like they had when I was a kid growing up in Chicago.

The ice cream shack next to Judy's was only open during the summer months. They haven't been open in years. They had the best soft serve ice cream in the city. I miss them.

There ya go, proof positive that "stupid is as stupid does". To some alcohol abuse is a sport. Go for it guy. I just ask that you stay home and off the roads while your killing yourself.

Well, ok, but how do you get something that big,yellow, brown and jiggly into your refridgerator in the first place??? Does alcohol freeze? That would be about the only way I can see it getting done, freeze the SOB first.

'Stupid' works for me. My mother hated that work and if we used it in front of her she'd go off on us. I use it instead of a profanity in cases such as Stupid Drunk. Stupid Drunk Slob works even better in this case. Flows easily off the tongue. Stupid Drunk Slob who forgot he took his meds and got stupid drunk anyway. Yep, works for me.

While here on the Navajo Nation reservation, I have learned that the Navajo have a fierce pride in their student athletes. Attending a basketball game or volley ball game where fierce rivals are competing is akin to being at a Fighting Sioux / Dirty Goofys game. So should non-Native students be banned from participating in athletics on a reservation because to do so would be hostile or abusive? Is it ok to yell "Red Skins suck" at a Red Mesa game because the yeller is a Native American who is yelling about the team not the race of the athletes? A white student at that same game yelling "Red Skins suck" means what? I totally agree.

I'm not saying throw the boys to the wolves. BUT they are under-aged and to go to a bar where 'everyone knows your name' and face is not the smartest thing to do. Some closet Goofy fan obviously turned them in. Judy's is not the type of bar that the city police or campus police bust on a routine basis. As Siouxmama said, high school athletes face discipline when they break the rules. IMHO, so should college students. Just because you're a college athlete doesn't mean your above the rules everyone has to follow. Hopefully a fine and 'in-house discipline' is all they will get. I love both those boys for their talent and what they have brought to the Fighting Sioux hockey program and I will be in line to get their autographs again because of it. I will always cheer for them. I've met T.J. and like him as a person and I like what I have seen of Jonathon as well. I still think they need to follow the rules or face the consequences, whatever they may be.
