While I agree that Cichy hasn't been putting up numbers and lived up to his hype yet, if you have watched his shifts this year he is greatly improved. He continually gets chances and produces chances for his linemates. I think its just a matter of time before he nets one or two, and then things will start rolling for him. It may be a matter of him getting on the right line and put into the roll that suits his game the best. If he doesn't have a coming out party this year, I still think he has the talent to put in 2 great years as a junior and senior.

Anybody know if UND is looking at Chad Demers from Grafton? He is in his second year with the Force is has started off really well, including a 3 point game last night.

You don't think dedicated college players ever take a drink?? Your fantasy world sounds great............ Now, just take a deep breath and calm down. Hak has always done what is needed to keep players in check. Things like this happen all over, look at all the off-ice stuff that happened at Notre Dame and out east this summer.

Any info on why Michael Parks has not played in the last few games for Cedar Rapids?? Is he hurt, injured, or are they just playing new players to make some final cuts?

What about Hayden Trupp (Evan's brother) playing in the BCHL? I know the Vees just traded him but it sounds like it was b/c they were too deep at center, not b/c he can't play. Anyone seen him play or heard anything about his talent level?

Checked out the Vees Blog that Brad linked up to a few weeks ago. The Vees have played a couple preseason games already. Read the blog from the game on Saturday night and both ODonnell and MacMillian had great games. MacMillian played on the top line, ODonnell centered the second line and was perfect on faceofffs. Is there any updates on Hebel? Was there anything new this summer, or do you think it will have to wait until after his first USHL season? I know UND doesn't need many more forwards, but Hebel seems like a solid, 4 year player that would work hard and has enormous potential.

Morin has put up some pretty good numbers over the last few years. I think he was a good pickup for Chicago. If he doesn't make the club this year, I would bet he will have a decent year in the AHL. With the right line-mates he will put up good numbers.

Any word on any of the uncommitted MN talent left? Specifically I am wondering if UND is interested in Brett Hebel or Adam Knochenmus. I can't remember what year either one of them is, but I hadn't heard if they made a commitment or not. Any other high end 2011 or 2010 in MN that UND is interested in??

I think both the Zajac brother and Bruneteau brother are defensemen. That may affect UND's interest seeing how full they are at that position for the next few years. I think Zajac may only have another year before he should take any scholarship offered, Bruneteau may have 2 or so before he has to get nervous.

ESPN360. com is only available online. The only way to watch the game on TV would to be to watch the tape delay reply on Sunday on ESPNU. (I am pretty sure of this anyways). The good thing is that ESPN360 is normally free if you get your internet through a cable company (or other internet provider) that participates with ESPN. I am not sure any of the local (ND) providers are on that list, but you can look online. AT&T and Verizon are on the list, so if you get internet through them you are set. I am currently in AR and Cox Communications is on the list, so much of the SE should be covered.

It looks like his bolting may have been one of the best things for UND, and possibly the worst for Clarke!

54 PIM in 18 games!!! That is pretty high for a forward. I wonder if its a temper issue or an artifact of his focus on offense first...... There have been a few players to come out of DL and have decent WCHA careers, but I don't know of any recently that have received offers straight out of HS, most had to play in juniors for a bit.

If he is only 16 this year, there is a good chance that he wouldn't come until 2011 or even 2012 depending on the situation. I know that INCH said 2010, but unless he has accelerated his studies, he should be a 2011, in which case there would be room for him here, as Lapoint and Marto would be gone and if Forbort produces he might be a one and down if he goes as high as they say, also if Blood continues to develop (and Mac) they could go early as well.

I think Brad has discussed this before, but Frattin went home this semester and will enroll again in the Spring at UND. That being said, he cannot play this year, as he missed the semester of school, but he has stated that he will try to regain his position on the team for next year. This means he will probably practice with the team for the second half and stick around during the summer to workout and make up course work.. I don't think it is possible to have him suit up this year, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him in green and white next year.

This sounds horrible, but I don't want to have to rewatch the whole game, does anyone have a clip of the hit. I missed it in real-time and the online broadcast never replayed it (well maybe during post-game, but I did not watch that). I appreciate it. Thanks.

Anyone have any info on injuries to UND's recruit? Looking at the USHL scores last night St. Clair, Nick Mattson, and Parks were all out of the lineups for the respective teams. Any info??

Would have been nice to see Fienhage get some ice time though. I defer to Hak's wisdom, I just worry about scratching a 3rd rounder for 2 full years.

Cornell lost an exhibition to the USNTP tonight, 3-2!!! I know it doesn't count, but they were typically rated ahead of UND in the preseason polls.
