This may have been brought up already, I didn't check the forum while I watched the game, but does anyone know anything about Forney? I thought it was strange that he was not at least given a look if he is 100% healthy. Maybe Hak based his decision off how everyone practiced the day before. Hopefully we will get to see him and Davidson at some point this year. Overall, I thought the team looked good. I was impressed by all the freshmen that played. Malone is quite physical, Frattin will work out well on the Duncan and Oshie line, Trupp worked hard at both ends and should develop nicely. I thought Lapoint was pretty composed, but agree he needs to put on some mass. Marto had alot of jump, I don't envy Hak, he has some tough choices on his hands.

I signed up earlier this week and didn't have any issues with signing up or signing in. I would like to ask if anyone knows if the video is going to be able to be put on full screen? I know the preview they had last year you could, but so far with the on demand videos I am only getting the small screen. Anyone know anything??

Is David Carle, Matt's younger brother? And if so, is there any interest in him. If he is anything like Matt that would not only be a steal, but would be an excellent pick up.

Brady Murray scored a goal in LA's game last night. I believe he has 3 points in as many games so far.
-
Toews with the second assist on Chicago's first goal of the game, they are ahead 3-2 over the Blue Jackets.

Looking through some articles on the LA Kings websites, sounds like Brady Murray is having a good camp. He is on Team Murphy and doing well, putting points up. It would be nice to seem him make th lineup at some point this year. Although, LA has an awful lot of young talent for him to compete with.

Anybody got any information on Brady Murray's chances of making the NHL roster this year? I read one article about the development camp scrimmage where he had the game-winner, but with all the talent LA has signed these last few months, I am curious to see if he will get his shot or if he will spend a few years in the minors.

I don't think we need to bring in any of the 08's for an offensive punch next year when there is already so much potential on the team. I think alot of players on the 2-4th lines got the impression they need to work hard this summer and develop more. I have a good feeling we will see Kozek, Martens, and Miller step it up next year. I think the first line is already solid and with Malone and Hextall coming in, there is a good grind line with some offensive skill in the making. I would much rather see existing team members step up their game then to rely on bringing in more freshmen and dealing with who is going to be benched. The talent is there for #8, I have a good feeling about next year if things don't fall apart in the next few weeks with unexpected departures.

Lapoint misses the Rookie of the Year award, but does make the RBK USHL 1st team and the all-rookie team. He is the only current UND recruit in the USHL to be honored. http://www.ushl.com/news/story.cfm?id=286

I think Oshie stays, for multiple reasons; there is an outside chance that Toews wants a championship and will stay to win it. My biggest fear is for those that aren't drafted, namely Lammy and Duncan. If they are offered contracts, its a different story. At least when you are drafted you know you will get multiple offers, free agents get a 1 shot chance, there is no gauruntee that another team will want them in a year. I hope that DOT all stay, but I have a good feeling that at least D & O will return for next year.

Explain your take on the game here...don't complain just explain

I think besdies the untimely and unnecessary penalties, our D-men were the main cause UND lost this one. The top two pairs of defensemen were basically silent all night. I think the only pair that did a good job were Genoway and Jones, who had been fairly silent for most of the year. Chorney, who was by far the best defensemen all year, just didn't have the answer for their fast forwards and turned the puck over way too much. Lee and Finely focused on the puck and not the man and cost them 2 goals. Bina was not in his typical form, he too had more turnovers than usual and looked a littled frazzeled. That being said, I think that BC was just the better team. I know Michigan was fast, but that was only a select few players. BC had 3 very fast lines and UND just wasn't ready for that. You can get outshot 2-1 and expect to win. I still think that UND is one of the best teams in the country, talent and work ethic wise. BC should handle MSU fairly easily. I hope that some of UND's players will re-consider leaving and stick around to take it all next year. I really enjoyed the season and even though I am saddened by the loss, I think the team did a great job turning things around and really put together a great season for themselves and their fans. -
The Swiss League that he play's in has put out a few announcements that Brady is going to sign with LA as soon as the Elite League Season is over. You can expect to see Brady somewhere in LA's system next year. I would think it may take him a year or so to get his shot at the NHL, but who knows. I think he is still plagued with injuries, he missed a large amount of games last year. Hopefully he is fulllly heald and ready to go.

Looking at BC's stats for this year I grow a little more concerned. They were fairly consistent, easily out of the 4 remaining teams. They are averaging about 3 goals/ game while giving up just over 2. They are missing some pretty prominent names from last year, but still have solid defense and outstanding goaltending. What I think will help the most is that UND has faced tough teams consistently as of late. I think Michigan was the quickest team in the country this year, so speed should not catch them off guard and they have faced stingy defenses for most of the year and yet came away with the best goals/game average in the WCHA. I still think UND wins it, but they are going to have to give 110% for all 60 minutes. -

This is going to be a tough tournament. BC is probably the 2nd or 3rd hottest team in the nation right now. After last year's loss to them I think many are going to see UND as the underdog. I think that this year's team can beat this year's BC team. I think it will be an excellent game, but I really see UND winning a close one (4-3). Michigan St and Maine is a tough one to call. When Maine played UND early this year, I saw a team that no one could beat, but man did they crash for a good 2 month period. I am still not sure they are playing their best hockey. I am not sure SCSU was at their best this tournament, so the 5-1 loss to Maine is hard to gauge. Michigan St. is the same way. They have played very streaky all year, but definitely have the talent to win it all. When is all comes down to it, if Maine shows up in full force and top playing capacity, I don't think anyone can touch them, but I don't think they will be ready and we will see a UND- Michigan State title game that will be a close call. Best of luck to all the teams, but more so to UND. -
Thanks for the update

No, Michigan and NO. Michigan had 13 goals in a game before, stated earlier in the program.
-
anybody got a score on the ND-St game?
-
Good game UND, now its on to get reveng on those GOOFS.
-
This game now ties the NCAA record for most goals in 1 game! Way to comeback and dominate boys.
-
That was a weak call. Gotta keep your eyes open this late in the game, REF!
-
Hurts to admit it, but that was an awesome hip check, textbook.
-
UND needs to get something going, this lead isn't going to last if they stay back on their heels.
-
I think Duncan is going to need a couple goals in the playoffs to lock up the Hobey.
-
Let's hope they can keep their feet moving the rest of the period.
-
I wouldn't say UND's transitions are messy, its relative. Michigan is one of the fastest teams I have seen all year and they break out very well.
