  1. Thanks for the info, those were the majority of the RR players that I suspected would have DI interest from last year's play and this year's stats.
  2. I know this is going to stir the pot with people, but does anyone know if UND is looking at any of the GF Red River boys, or any ND boys in general? I know people assume its the hometown reasoning, but Red River took Roseau to overtime yesterday, which to me would indicate some serious talent on that team. Looks like the goaltender, a few forwards and at least one D-man would have DI potential.
  3. Also, Tech probably isn't the best series to put in a guy with shoulder problems. Davidson had the size and strength.
  4. Anyone else notice all the potential upset flashing across the scoreboard?
  5. How is last night's collapse Lammy's fault. He played two solid games and gave the team a chance to win. Of the 5 goals he let in last night, one was deflected off his own teamate, 2 where he was screened, and 2 where his defensemen failed to contain the UNH players breaking toward the net. Overall the defense had a weak weekend, Bina and Chorney had the worst weekend of their careers perhaps, Finley and Jones made a few mistakes, and the freshman played like freshman. I don't think we need to start this replace Lammy topic all over again. He played well.
  6. SCSU and MIA tied at 1 mid-way through the 3rd
  7. Forney getting a chance on the 4th line tonight with Trupp and Kozek. That could be a great line. Brad has got the lines on his website. http://www.areavoices.com/undhockey/
  8. By reading the transcript of the game (thanks for the link by the way) it appears SCSU is dominating the play. Not many shots for MIA
  9. SCSU 1 - MIA 0 in the 2nd
  10. Off topic, but Michigan state loses the third place game in the tourney to Providence, 5-3. That's gotta hurt.
  11. Bruneteau was still out of the lineup last night for Des Moines, with the break that is over a month he has been out of the lineup (give or take). Does anyone know if its still the same concussion or if there is something else up. I hope he is alright and can get back onto the ice.
  12. Is Duncan not on the ice this period??
  13. I hope we get to see Forney and Davidson tomorrow though, as this would most likely mean they win big tonight.
  14. Thanks for the update on Gregoire.
  15. Anyone know why Gregoire wasn't in the lineup this weekend for the Stars?? I hope its not his ankle again.
  16. Hextall is even smaller than Bruneteau isn't he? I know he plays tough, but if I remember correctly he is kinda small. Two tough kids together maybe with Trupp and we could have a great line.
  17. Thanks for the update, looks like he picked a fight with the wrong guy. Ballsy move anyways.
  18. Does anyone have any info on Bruneteau?? I noticed he was out of the lineup all weekend for Des Moines and that last time he was on the ice he got into a fight. I checked the Buc's website, but they had no news.
  19. I almost forgot, that does not mean that I would also like to see an additional D-man or two brought in to add some depth in case of injury or if someone can't step it up right away.
  20. Keep in mind that we are also bringing in some gritty forwards that play hard both ways. This will lift some of the pressure off of our defense, which is looking like it will consist mostly of more mobile, puck moving D-men. While this goes away from the big, punishing defense that UND is typically known for, it may allow the offense to open up and create a more explosive transition. Either way, I think it is a good mix. Jones is physical, but not overly large. Blood and Fienhage will be big punishing D-men that may take 1/2 a season to adjust (although Blood is doing well in the USHL, seemless transition much like LaPoint last year). Gleason, Marto, Genoway, and LaPoint will be great at moving the puck up the ice and jumping into the play. Also, I think that Marto, LaPoint, and Genoway will be positionally solid by next year and should do just fine.
  21. The point of my post was not to claim Walski was good enough to carry the team, it was to have the patient to give him the opportunity. I find it difficult to sit here day after day and read all the negative posts from people that may or may not know what they are talking about. Everyone on this board has there hopes and wishes for the team, but it does no one any good to bring about all the negativity this early in the year. I enjoy watching the team, win or lose, and I know Hak gets paid to worry about the future of the team and how to deal with these issues, we don't. Go back a couple of years ago when everyone was saying that JPL should never start or get a chance, now look. Only those who see all aspects of the team know what talent they have on the bench.
  22. I think that rather than jump to the conclusion that Walski cannot play, we have a little faith in the team and Hak. I think the fact that Walksi started to travel with the team implies that he has improved and Hak felt that if push comes to shove, that he could play in the league. Yes, this is not the most ideal situation, but show some confidence in your team and know that they will battle to get through it.
  23. This may not belong in this forum and/or may have been addressed already, but why did Shea Hamilton leave the team??? His decision or was he asked to leave?
  24. The WCHA blog has some video of the US NTDP team playing SCSU last weekend. Kristo is featured in one of the videos, as previously stated in this forum,.... that kid has some wheels, plays all out and aggressive. Just a short clip, but I liked what I saw. http://wchablog.blogspot.com/
  25. Brady Murray sent down to Manchester today, hopefully he will get another couple of shots this year.
