I agree. I watched a 3 win SCSU team and a Western Washington team offer a tougher game to UND than USD did last year. It would be foolish to look past SUU, a higher division opponent with 20 more scholarships than UND, and who just hung with the #2 FCS team in the nation for 3 quarters yesterday. Luckily I know our coaching staff and players know a thing or two about football, and they won't be taking anyone lightly this year.

Chad Mustard was cut by the Broncos today. Link So was former Gopher and Bismarck native Greg Eslinger.

Looked like they are capable of throwing the ball some. They also ran quite a few option-type plays. Their QB seems like a pretty good FB player. They gave up some long kick returns. It also apeared to me that they can be run on. Good athletic players in the defensive backfield. Aside from the game opening drive, they gave Montana a pretty good game for 3 quarters.

Montana 27 SUU 17 5 minutes left

Griz are up 20 to 9 now at the start of the 4th quarter. Also, Western Washington is leading UC-Davis 22-21 in the 3rd quarter.

holy crap! Michigan got down to the App 20 with 6 seconds left and attempted the winning FG, but it was blocked and returned for a TD. App beats Michigan!
-
Michigan now on the App 20 with 6 seconds left. FG pending.

App is at the Mich 5 yard line with 30 seconds left, down by 1

Montana scores on opening drive with little resistance from the SUU defense or special teams. App St still up by 5 over Mich with under 7 minutes to play.

SUU-Montana broadcast has started. App leading Michigan 31-26

App St. is up on Michigan 31-20 and just recovered a Wolverine fumble on Michigan's 28 yard line. 5 minutes left in the 3rd.

No, I can't scan anything in right now either, although my receiver has 5 or 6 transponders pre-programmed in that show good signal. Yes, the Griz telecast usually powers up about 10-15 minutes before game time just like UND games, so just do blind scan a little before or after kickoff and it should come up. You might just get a black screen until the broadcast actually starts because in the past few years, you wouldn't see any commercials during Griz games on the KU feed, just a black screen. Montana State games power up just before game time as well, although I haven't seen the coordinates released yet for their games this year.

I believe Galaxy 16 is at 99W.

UND NICKNAME: Group rescinds support

I'm guessing maybe he probably doesn't have the time now with his new role as KFGO sports director, and starting Sep. 10th, he'll be doing a daily two hour radio show on KKAG as well.

UND FOOTBALL: Sioux trio has defining debut
-
The Jan. 19 vs. South Dakota and Feb. 7 vs. St. Cloud State Men's and Women's basketball games will be televised on FSSN this season. The Jan 5th game against Iowa State will be televised in the state of Iowa on their ABC affiliates. I'm still trying to find out if there is a chance that this game would be able to be pulled in by those of us that have KU dish to get the FSSN.

I'm not saying that. There are lots of people who prefer to do other things than go to a football game, whether it is hunting, fishing, riding an ATV, boating, golfing, or a million other things, and that is fine. I didn't mean to call into question anyone being a "true" fan. I was just pointing out that there are far more days available in North Dakota to hunt almost any type of game, including deer, than there are opportunities to go to a UND football game in the Alerus.
-
I had to run to Fargo this weekend. I filled gas at Stop n' Go. I put on 26 gallons and got 13 NDSU tickets. That really is constant crap!!!!
-
You can shoot a deer on any of 15-16 consecutive days, for 10-12 hours a day. Actually if you really really want to kill a deer, one can do it from the end of August until the middle of December, but those types of hunting would require a little more effort than idling up and down the wrong side of county and township roads with a can of beer between one's legs. By contrast, one can only watch a UND football game in GF on 5 specific days for 3 1/2 hours.

That would be a poor comparison. A better comparison would be between Humbolt St. and Arkansas-Monticello, or Valparaiso, or Concordia St. Paul. Those three schools were all invovled in a big matchup with a regional school in recent years as well. I'm surprised, BisonBacker, at the way in which you are attacking Humboldt St. and the Sioux for playing them. Of the three founders of the "Board for the Banned" you're usually the most level-headed. Or did you loan your password to JBB? You know as well as anybody the scheduling troubles that both UND and NDSU have had in recent years. Grow up and move on. I heard your favorite squad is supposed to be pretty good this year. Focus on that.
