  1. It looks very nice. I bet the atmosphere in there would be fantastic with ~5,300 people. Where are the other two options?
  2. I hope so. The GWFC schedule has been a mess since Northern Colorado left. I say the quicker we get all the schools on 2-home game and 2-away game rotation the better. I'd have no problem going back to Vermillion next year.
  3. If we are indeed playing at SELU, this would lead me to believe that the game will either be September 13 or September 27.
  4. Did you hear that on the Coach's show?
  5. Coach Jones' post-game comments: -Our team is not very tough -Didn't show up to compete tonight -Need to make some changes because the guys putting in minutes for us now aren't getting the job done
  6. Sioux trail by 17 at the start of the second half.
  7. Sioux down 11 with about 4:00 left in the 1st.
  8. UND down 10 with 9:00 left in the 1st.
  9. Youmens was named NCC CO-Player of the Week. Link He was also named to the all tournament team this past weekend.
  10. Carr said our budget needs to be in the ~$18 Million-ish range for DI. Over the last 4-5 years it seems like the budget has went up about 1 million each year. An annual increase of $1.5 Million each year over the next 4 years would put us into the ballpark of where Carr says we should be when the transition is over. I'd expect the budget to be around $13 Million in 2008-09.
  11. Normally, I would agree with you, but they are already televising hockey in town this weekend, basketball is in town this weekend, and it is Thanksgiving (which was their excuse last year for not televising the UNO game). Unless their is a local GVSU feed they can pick up on satellite, I worry about the chances of it being on.
  12. I agree. I live 100 miles from GF and have been going to to Football games for years but rarely went to anything else. Then I heard about the FSSN and how all the home hockey games were on it. So about 4 years ago I got the satellite equipment to watch the games. Now I'm a Fighting Sioux Club member and a hockey season ticket holder. WDAZ isn't the same as FSSN. UND and Midcontinent are broadcasting these games and they pay WDAZ to produce them. The good thing about it is that UND is actually in control of what games (home games anyways) get televised. The bad thing is that this arrangement has led to fewer games of anykind actually on WDAZ Ch. 8. Not even the Gopher hockey games are going to be on DAZ this year. In the end, it does come down to the administration at UND. The FSSN is great resource that is not used enough. All home games should be on cable, and if WDAZ or any other station wants to hold the rights to Sioux sports, they should be required to carry X number of games on the network each year. The media contracts are up after this year. NDSU purchases air time from North Dakota's NBC stations for their games, and they did the same for their game that was on FSN North. They're smart to do it too. UND should be doing something similiar. Like I said, all home games on cable, big games on a network.
  13. vs. North Dakota (0-2) at Northern St. (1-0) November 20, 8:00 p.m. Sioux Audio Wolves Audio Video Webcast NSU won their opener against Mount Marty (NAIA). They also had an exhibition loss to DI Marquette and an exhibition win over NAIA Black Hills State. The Wolves are picked 2nd in the NSIC Preseason Poll and received votes in the NABC National Preseason Poll. They finished last season with a 21-8 record including an 88-84 overtime win over UND at the Betty. They are led by pre-season All-American forward Kevin Ratzsch, who led the NSIC in scoring last season (18.6 pts/game), and guard Craig Nelson (14 pts/game last season). Northern has made it to the NCAA tourney 3 times since the 2003-04 season has had 6 straight 20 win seasons. UND Scoring Leaders Emmanuel Little: 20.5 ppg Ervin Youmans: 23.0 ppg
  14. Sioux lost again today, in overtime, 99-91. They were agains plagued by turnovers and poor defensive play.
  15. vs. North Dakota (0-1) at UC-Colorado Springs (0-1) UND Audio UCCS Website UND Gamenotes UCCS lost their opener as well tonight, by 2 against West Texas A&M, and they lost exhibition games to Montana St. and Wyoming earlier. The finished the season 16-12 last year but were picked 4th in the East Division of the RMAC in this year's preseason poll. They only have 5 players returning from last season. Their key guy is point guard Nic Fuller who avereraged over 14 pts/game last season. They are a rather big team, with 7 players over 6'-6".

  17. Coach Moody's post game comments: -We need to go to the inside more than we did -Offense looked good in 1st half, not in the 2nd, need to play 40 minutes not 30 -Post defense was poor, guard defense was good -Darius Joseph did a good job offensively running the point, but needs to play better on defense I think it was the altitude
