People forget Bismarck use to have 3 teams when I played in the late 70's. Bismarck, Century, and St Mary's. St Mary's was pretty good my sophomore year then it went downhill. In the regionals in '79 we beat them 21-1. Not sure if that was their last year but it has to be close

Yes Erstad could have been a D1 hockey player had he went that route but I'm pretty sure he choose correctly. By far the most intense player I've ever coached
