Many memories playing at the Lumberdome in the 70's. In 76-77 season they had a team that was as physical as a team can get. I believe they took fourth at state that year. In 78 my junior year we had to get escorted out of the arena as it got a bit out of hand during the game. Oh the memories

One of my girls was getting pummeled by a GF player. She covered her head and never retaliated. Both got 2 minutes for roughing. Even the folks in the penalty boxes couldn't believe it. 2 other of my girls took shots to the head with one not returning. No calls. With that said when I told the refs I was reporting them I did it in a calm matter even though I was pissed. Pretty gutless on their part

Happened to me in Grand Forks when I was coaching the Blue Jay girls. Shook the refs hands and said in my 30 some years of coaching I've never reported reffing crew and you will be my first. When we got to the locker room my assistant coach said one of the refs told her to tell I'm suspended for the next game. I waited by the refs room to get an explanation but never came out. I did report them and nothing happened
