  1. I like Jubenvill. He doesn't make a lot of big plays, but he also doesn't make many mistakes. I think that's the kind of presence we need on the backend right now. 4, 18, and 25 already provide plenty of playmaking
  2. The power play was incredibly bad. Can’t expect to win a game like that if you don’t cash in on at least one of those
  3. I don't get this decision. Why end something that generates a ton of buzz for your program on social media and excitement among your fans?
  4. That one really stings
  5. Calgary kid and a righty. Have to think we were after him
  6. Need some kind of news today. Don’t care if it’s for this year or the future, just want something
  7. I’m going to guess Brock England
  8. Is this a hunch or some insider info?? I need to know how high to get my hopes up
  9. Yep, I don’t expect many immediate commits and, of those that do happen, I think very few will be high-end recruits committing to blue chip programs
  10. I hope so. I’ve never been a fan of that font on the ice or really in any other usage
  11. These are outstanding. Exactly what I was hoping for!
  12. I’m hoping this is what they are. I like that design. It’d no doubt be an improvement over what we have right now
  13. Really need a right wing for the top 6. Not sure who is left out there that fits that description. Gordon wasn’t necessarily exciting, but at least he could’ve filled that role.
  14. I thought so too, but Schlossman seemed to indicate otherwise. Maybe I misunderstood
  15. If we were never in on Martone it really makes me wonder who we’re targeting and why it’s taking so long
  16. Any know if we should be expecting news today? Seems awfully late in the process to not have at least one of these spots filled
  17. Still holding out hope for a bat signal today. The wait to see who fills these forward spots is killing me!
  18. Which is why I wanted it
  19. Correct. I’m not saying they should have kept the name in open defiance. However, I would have preferred a compromise option of just not having a nickname at all. I understand I’m probably in the minority there, but that’s what I would have liked.
  20. As a fan who liked the old name/logo I just appreciate the hockey program not rolling over like every other sport. I didn’t want the change to be “easier”, I actually wanted quite the opposite. But I guess I’m stubborn.
  21. Don’t really think you can pin it on Berry. Nobody was ever going to embrace a name that generic and meaningless. On the contrary, I think it would’ve alienated a lot of fans if they had tried to force a name everyone hated down our throats.
  22. Would love to have him, but he’s from Massachusetts so I’m not holding my breath
  23. Even still, I don’t understand why the old licensing agreement couldn’t be left in place and UND could not continue to use it in a more secondary capacity. I do see now why it couldn’t be the primary logo though
  24. Completely agree. It was such a prominent part of the university’s branding for a long time. Pivoting to that as the school’s primary logo would’ve offered continuity and allowed fans to feel like our identity hadn’t been totally stripped away. Instead they decided to throw the baby out with the bathwater for reasons I still don’t understand
  25. Nobody rejects it more than hockey, but I can’t say I’ve ever met anyone who actually likes it. It has become clear over time that the most popular choice, at least with the general public, would have been 1) having no nickname and 2) keeping the interlocking ND.
